OT: 49ers look foolish, hire Jim Tomsula

He's been with the organization since 2007, and he "won't meddle with personnel decisions," but he has no head coaching experience (unless you include 1 year with the Rhein Fire of NFL Europe and one game as an interim in SF). Smart, San Francisco. Real smart.

But hey, your stupidity is our gain.

Mike Tomlin only had one year as a coordinator before becoming an Head Coach. And he's turned out fine. If Tomsula fills out his staff well he'll be fine. Dick LeBeau is out there, get him in there to shore up the defense. At offensive coordinator he can get someone to help show him the ropes.

Jed York is a no-nuts silver-spoon-in-mouth-born jackass who couldn't stand the fact that all of the 49ers success was being attributed to Harbaugh.  So how do you deal with that?  Hire a no-name defensive-line coach as your new head-coach.  Now he's going to PROVE that ANYONE can be successful coaching his amazing franchise.

Hell, the team practically coaches itself, due to the amazing front office!

They could've went and hired Belichek for all I cared. Their loss is our gain.

Why they ever gave Harbaugh up, how they never could've put aside their differences and made that relationship work so they could win some damn football games, I will never understand.

The 49ers front office will regret ever letting him go.

The battle of the Bay Area just got entertaining  for those not invested in the Raiders or 49ers.  It is interesting how the second generation ownership sometimes tank what their parents have built.

All due respect, we should be on the right side of karma for years to come. Crable late hit, Rosenberg, Brandon, LochDogg, MSUs meteoric rise, OSU Natl Championship, Morris Concussion fiasco, 1am press releases, skywriting, drunk Mary Sue, inept coaching, -48.... I can go on...

All I can say is: Thank you Niners, for being a bunch of arrogant suits who sent Jim Harbaugh home to Michigan.

Really, Jed & company.  Thank you.

Even a dumb hire like Hoke had the guy with some relevant head coaching experience and ties to Michigan. But the 49ers front office literally chased off their best HC in decades and one of the best in the game so they could promote a 'yes man'.

I will laugh maniacally as the 49ers decent into chaos. Prediction: 49ers go 8-8 this year before the wheels fall off in 2016 and they go 4-12

they hired Tomsula because he had no ties to Harbaugh at all.  He was there before Harbaugh.  So Roman and Fangio will now leave as well.  They want to purge all Harbaugh coaches from the team entirely.

This is the ultimate in cutting off your nose to spite your face.

It's always smart to "mutually part ways" with a top shelf coach and then promote a no-namer. That ought to work out well.

Unless there is a third team I've forgotten.

SF only has to beat the raiders to be the best team in Cali.  Given they're working hard to try to regress past the raiders it seems.

Lastly

@JohnMiddlekauff: Damn Greg Papa said he heard from NFL sources that the #49ers had a verbal agreement to make Adam Gase the HC & backed out last minute
