OSU women's water polo takes shot at Urban Meyer

Submitted by UMxWolverines on
Osu scarlet beats Wisconsin 20-2. At least one Ohio state team knows how to win @OSUCoachMeyer http://www.cleveland.com/osu/2017/11/ohio_state_womens_water_polo_t.html These guys deserve a decade of irrelevance more than anyone. I might hate them, but another team at the same school publicly calling out a coach that had a bad loss, but has lost 8 games in 6 seasons is low, even for them.

Logical thought is not a strong suit at OSU. Case in point: Not everybody is the perfect person in the world. Everyone does -- kills people, murders people, steals from you, steals from me.

I completely agree. Unforunately, this reminds me so much of U-M fans at different points this season - wanting to fire JayBaugh, Drevno, and even Harbaugh himself (not to mention Don Brown after the PSU debacle or after Rutgers scored a TD).

I would love to look down upon the Buckeye fanbase for this kind of thing, but I honestly think many Michigan fans have been no better this season.

Nice.  Only 999 more cuts until Ohio State football's golden era can be pronounced dead.

Well, 998 counting the Iowa game too.

Is nothing more irrational than an Osu fan. I am around many of them both personally and professionally and many of them think Meyer should move on, they think they could do better without him.... let that sink in.

I live and work in Ohio.  I am getting the same consensus at work and in my personal life, which I think is really telling how delusional they are.  When I ask them who to replace him with, they have no answer.

Hard times create strong men; strong men create good times; good times create weak men; weak men create hard times.

I am 100% confident that our program--the players, staff, and (most of our) fan base are "strong men."

And at some point, the OSU program will develop into "weak men". Maybe now, maybe 3 years from now, maybe 15 years from now. But it WILL happen.

The only question is whether & when our upward trajectory and status will surpass their downward trajectory, and if so, for how long.

Nothing lasts forever, including the dominance of OSU. The Clemson, Oklahoma and Iowa games proved that, this IM team's silly jab at Meyer confirms it. And on November 25th our team will have an opportunity to accelerate that process even more.

Since it's club level, probably little to none outside of facilities. Still a silly thing to do. A university's athletes should support their fellow athletes. Kind of a given when putting on the uniform & representing all that goes along with it.

What a bunch of spoiled, entitled assholes. They have no idea how good they have it.

If they're melting down for what looks like what should another 10-12 win season (including the bowl and possible conference title game), I'd love to see them endure a string of 7-8 win seasons like what Michigan has put up with. What literally every other program in America has endured at some point or another.

Columbus would be engulfed in full-scale riots and the city would burn to the ground within a day.

It’s almost worth watching Sparty best then this week. If we can then also beat them, and osu goes 8-4...oh man watch that shit explode. But I imagine it would still be pretty bad if they go 9-3 with a loss to MICH even though they would still win the division.

Urban Meyer is 68-8 with the Buckeyes with two bowl wins, one title and the WATER POLO team is going to throw shade after what could be described as a humiliating loss by the football team to Iowa? If that doesn't say "Buckeye", I honestly don't know what would.

There has got to be something else locally that these women know that isn't public knowledge or widely known.

Consider, Florida dropped their HC mid-season, after winning their division two years in a row. Digging deeper there was a lot of unhappiness and a big financial incentive to make any moves now before the season ended to save on the buyout.

from the Cleveland.com link is that there was a simpsons episode featuring ohio state, with a main plot point that the decidedly non-genius Principal Skinner was accepted to osu. Makes total sense.
