They are good as evidenced by yesterday's result. They also beat us earlier in teh season. The cubbard s not bare. Tehy have Kates-Diop and Ja'sean Tate both of whom are very good. Beilein recruited both heavily.

That guy can coach.  They scouted MSU well and had the perfect game plan in place.  MSU shot poorly, but it was mostly OSU playing good D.

MSU is vulnerable, but I think they weren't ready to be #1 and have that target on them, that was the Buckeye's Super Bowl.

That game seemed to be pretty flukey.  OSU shot out of their minds.  I think MSU will still be the team to beat in the B1G probably, but damn, they looked list shit as well.  So what do I know?

Yeah, OSU shot 47% from deep but it was only on 15 attempts, so it wasn't like they set a program record for makes that propelled them to victory.  They shot basically their season average in 2P% (55%) and were below average on their FTs (65% vs. 72%).  Now, if you played that game nine more times I doubt you'd come up with another OSU blowout but I think they would win at least a few more times.  So not a total fluke there.

Looking at it from the MSU perspective, they missed a lot of threes and allowed OSU to shoot far, far better than what MSU allows on average.  So from that viewpoint it was an aberration that an MSU opponent shot 55% from 2, 47% from deep and wasn't totally crushed on the boards (MSU was +5).

Bottom line, OSU looks like a pretty decent basketball team that Kenpom currently predicts will go 13-5 in B1G play (MSU & PU are 15-3 and M is 11-7 for 4th at the moment).

You went all in on the stats.  Thanks for looking that up.  I didn't even look at the box score, So, I went off of the optics.  I remember the end of the first half was a shit show for MSU.  OSU got maybe 3 trips in the last minute where they came away with 3 points, and it felt like MSU had a ton of turnovers.  Anyway, I'm not at all sad to see Sparty lose.  In fact, I thought Dakich really helped OSU when they needed minutes with other guys having foul trouble.  So, maybe this game means that there is more to their with over M than just a second half melt down.

So if they win 10 in a row and go back to number one, do we just pretend basketball doesn't exist again. I'm confused
