OSU Fans Dislike In-Stadium RAWK Also
Deadspin FOIAd all of OSU's in-stadium "Text for Help" requests this year. The high (or low)-lights are mostly in the puke and "less music, more band" variety. Highest number of complaints was during UM game

Genuinely curious, what's the point of these "in before delete" posts? Is there some level of satisfaction you get from it? Are you making some mini wager with yourself? I just don't understand it

When someone who has nothing to contribute undermines others' posts with three simple letters, "IBD," he has the illusion of leverage. Someone does an entire post and all he has to do is type three letters. I am guessing he has been occasionally upvoted for his "cleverness" or he wouldn't keep making them.

It is a microcosm of the difference between these institutions: we write annoyed emails to the administration, they tweet vulgar complaints to their mascot.

Certain sections of that stadium, if you've ever been there, are full of people that look as if they spent rather a lot of time on the midnight train going anywhere. Certain sections, not all of them.
As a native of the area, the whole "south Detroit" thing in that song probably irritates me more than it should, but it's my issue.

Heard a Steve Perry interview once; "South Detroit" is Southfield... where WRIF is. Even though Southfield is north of Detroit. Anyway, Journey was a young band and WRIF was giving them a shit-ton of support, so they decided to write that into the song as a way of saying thanks.

More than 20% of all texts sent just said the word "Brutus". More than 1/5 of all texts were OSU fans who couldn't even figure out how to use the service.
