Oregon/Ohio State Rose Bowl = Excellent preview of things to come here

Submitted by k06em01 on

Jim Tressel vs. the man that learned everything he knows about offensive football from Rich Rod...and actually has the personnel to execute it.

I can't wait.

Soak it up Buckeyes.

NOTE - I started this thread before the other similar thread was started...so go bitch at whoever started that one. Thinking of that, don't bitch at me about the content of what I'm posting...bc someone else posted the exact same thing right after me.

I was hoping Oregon would pull this one out. I still believe OSU has fraud written all over them. I just can't pull for Big Ten teams, especially OSU until we're back in a bowl game next year. I want us to save face for the Big Ten again.

This "Michigan will be like every other at least marginally effective spread offense team" meme is so very painful, so very demeaning. We are our own fucking team. We will be better than, and different from, Oregon et al.

Dude, I don't mean to be particularly harsh. You seem pretty knowledgeable and occasionally I learn something from one of your posts. That being said, stupid posts like this make me wonder:

Do you have any sort of filter in your brain or do you make a thread for every single thought that goes through your head?

Quit posting for a couple of days. Then, give it up altogether.

A new identity might help; I think you have misplayed this one into the ground. Your enthusiasm might be very welcome here, especially if you lurk for awhile, get the "lay of the land," and proceed cautiously from there.

Jim Tressel vs. the man that learned everything he knows about offensive football from Rich Rod.

He did? The two were never on the staff of the same team (Kelly's career prior to Oregon was Columbia, New Hampshire, Johns Hopkins).

attended off season spread offense camps with Rich Rod. I'm not sure what the details are as per who was the student or teacher but it is common for coaches to convene and share ideas in the off season. It is common knowledge that Chip shares much of RR's offensive philosophy.

I think most people would agree that RRod has the personnel. It's just young personnel. An upperclass QB runs the read option better because they have more experience with it and...Forget it. It's late, this is an old topic. Go Blue...Fuck the Bucks...USA!

Please, before commenting in the future, scan the board to see if there is a thread open already that you can respond to with your opinion, thought or commentary before opening a new thread. Yes, another one has been opened but the 2 threads for the game you are commenting on the outcome of is the normal place for this.

In my short time here I've seen a quite a few comeback posters who were able to win people over by putting the insulting behaviors aside and actually make an online community something valuable but I've lost hope with you. Enjoy your time here -- I give you another 2 months before you've been given the hammer and are back to scouring the Scout and Rivals boards.

The automatic assumption that you were at fault for the duplicate thread should tell you more your posting habits and reputation around here than about your accuser. People are trying to help you become a better poster. Be smart and take note.

Broham, I liked your post and frankly would have pos'ed it but then you follow up with your "note" which you no doubt added later bitching about mgopoints.

Since you obviously care way to much about points, when will you fuckin learn that bitching about points will get you negged?

For example. This post is about points. It will probably be negged and it should be.

Guess what - I don't care!!! Dude. The points don't mean anything. You care way too much about them. Wipe the sand out of your vagina and stop whining about them and scheming in ridiculous ways to get them. It's unhealthy and unbecoming.

Like another poster said, you occassionally post some good stuff that I dig, but man, the constant bitching about points and the starting 20 threads a day needs to end. Shit like that dilutes the quality of the board.

Being here in Oregon it was a great week and fun to have a debate with everyone about whether or not I wanted Oregon State or Oregon to win. Being a true Michigan fan I had to say "I hate Ohio State, so whoever will beat them by the most points is who I want to win." Go ducks
