“We will use every avenue available to hold those accountable who tamper with our student-athletes,” Bjork said.

“As far as the limitations initially placed on the permission to contact, the restrictions are common,” the athletic department statement to Yahoo Sports said. “Until we were notified (Tuesday) morning, none of the student-athletes had communicated they were unhappy with those restrictions. Frankly, if they had any objections and a legitimate reason to seek transfer to one of the limited schools, we would ordinarily work through those issues with the student-athlete and his family. The student-athletes’ best interest is always the priority. Coach (Matt) Luke and (athletic director) Ross Bjork discussed the matter this morning. To be consistent, they are removing any restrictions on their permission to contact for all those who have requested permission. Our compliance office has reached out to the student-athletes to let them know.”

That's the point. Didn't they just lift the restrictions to avoid backlash and a lawsuit. If you have lifted restrictions and given every player permission to transfer, how in the fuck can anyone tamper with them. They are know unrestricted free agents.

At this point, it's like the guy realized what he did and is having a temper tantrum, has zero legal standing so know Ole Miss is just going to threaten people. They had to lift the restrictions and know that players are actually going to leave...........uhh what. Sorry I don't get it.

Two of the guys Michigan is taking sat out this year and were transferring for sure. That is Patterson and Anderson. I am sure Michigan will get Van Jefferson also, but if Michigan can get Mathews also I can see ole miss getting pissed. I am sure they are trying to keep guys like Little who mentioned Oklahoma. I don't know who this is directed at, but Michigan will be signing these four guys and moving on.  Just like to say thanks Coach Freeze you immoral tird.     P.S. next time take Saban's class Proper use of the bagman 101.

Pressure from the other SEC schools? As in "it's that Harbaugh guy again... we've shut down his camps, and now he's in the IHOP... it stops today, or he'll be in Waffle House tomorrow!" It's hard to have a national power without a pipeline to all the extra talent in the southeast. All of a sudden, Oxford is an opportunity. I wouldn't be surprised if there was some effort to provide incentive to Mississippi to encourage players to stay within the conference. Weird and counter-intuitive, but quite a bit is at stake here, and some really good players are available.

There's no way in hell Harbaugh would have spoke to any athlete without it being cleared by OUR compliance department. You can be sure of that. He may be talking about programs players were restricted from going to talking to players that is much different.

that this wasn't aimed at least partially at Harbaugh; Confederates still have a giant pickle up their ass when they think Yankees are invading their sacred land. The real question to me is what he thinks "tampering" consists of. Don't be surprised if his definition includes northern coaches flying down and eating at their IHops to meet players.

Yeah feels like shots at other guys. Going to the city and publicly meeting with guys who said they want to come to Michigan doesn't seem like the type of behavior that hasn't been checked by a bunch of compliance folk. Ole Miss is a tire fire and they'll burn anyone they can on the way down.

This might be pointed at Oklahoma just as much as us.  Riley and their coaches are going all out for multiple OleMiss players, they have traveled to Oxford (no ihop), and are casting a much larger net than us, in hopes of grabbing as many as 5-7 players.  Also this looks like Little most likely transfer scenario.  

Coach told everyone from the jump his mantra, he was going to outwork everyone.  The jackhammer is back at it again, and man I love it.  

Some of the weekend visitors are going to be arriving tonight and tomorrow and there is a real buzz that this could be a weekend we look back on like last year when: Black, DPJ, Ambry, Hall and others visited.
