Ohio State Snowflakes: General Observations

Submitted by LSAClassOf2000 on

This will be the thread for hot takes which defy neat categorization but are still Ohio State related.

I think we're just cursed. The ball just bounces against us every single time we play them. Got to close on some of these guys like Najee Harris and fix our holes at places like LB, OL etc.

Turnovers on the goal line ... refs bailed them out .... what more can you expect in that shit hole Columbus

They cheated us out of the win, fuck them. Fuck those refs, fuck Urban, fuck their coaches, their players, their students, and their fans. Fuck that whole school, I hate them.

I have an observation: the refs didn't think OSU had a good enough Thanksgiving and decided to give them some more home cooking. Great game refs! You really deserved that win.

We need a better back. If we are going to run the damn ball over and over then we need a back who can make a shit ton of guys miss and score touchdowns. And we need to be able to stop a team with 9 senior starters on our defense her cannot pass the football.

Anyone crying about the refs is ridiculous. The football team lost the game the coaches lost the game period. Season is an abject failure. No big ten title no playoff no win over osu. Absolute failure of a season who gives two fucks about a bowl game. Its absolutely meaningless. Still think harbaugh is a great coach but this team will only ascend when osu is down. There won't be a squad this talened for awhile and even they couldn't get it done. Michigan is back to pretty much where it's always been good but short of elite. Also peppers is very good but also not elite. Maybe one of the most overrated wolverines in history.

I don't understand 'higher road' fan. Yes, we should have won. Three huge mistakes cost us. But why is it taboo to question the officiating? They sucked and were 1 sided. A massive hold on Lewis set up that 4th and short. Sounds was called for 0 holds. They were getting abused up front. These refs aren't volunteers. They get paid. They're not above criticism. For the amount of money the league brings in they can do better. With better officiating, the outcome may have been different. Do you disagree?

Because it's pointless and it will literally never change. Can you name me one instance ever where a conference went "you know what fans and losing team you are correct the refs were God awful therefore you are now awarded the victory" doesn't happen. The refs sucked but not as much as wilton throwing two picks and the defense as great as they were being gashed in ot. Blaming the refs is convient and easy what's not is accepting that michigan couldn't get it done with its best team in a decade. The ceiling probably isn't as high as we all assumed.

Yeah that's exactly what I'm saying genius. If they played the game tomorrow I'd want wilton to start if they played it next week I would want wilton to start. Think wilton played a solid game but his mistakes cost us plain and simple. Doesn't mean he sucks or isn't good he cost us in this game. Also it's not all on him there's plenty to point to in this loss.

How the first fuck are some people complaining about coaching ? We win this game easily without the refs taking the game over for OSU. That was not a first down.

Peppers wildcat play is well overused and cost the team with breaking up rhythm.

3 TOs does not help with anything

Refs should be shot....seriously was completely unbalanced in how the game was called...every single close call and mutiple obvious just missed calls/disregarded calls.  If I am Harbaugh, I am asking for a huge fine just to call out how absolutely one sided and pathetic the refs were in this game.

Love you guys. I have never seen refs calling games so one-sided as I've seen this season, and I tend to think that I see things pretty openly. Still, we just watched an awesome game. I'm not going to let this one ruin me, and I think we should all do the same. Two years ago we never would have thought we would be in this position today this quickly. We will be back. Go Blue

We dominated first three quarters but didn't take advantage on scoreboard because of turnovers.  Then when their defense figured us out and/or Speight reverted to Iowa Speight, we weren't far enough ahead to withstand the comeback.  FUCK FUCK FUCKITY FUCK!!!!!!!

This is not a rivalry. Michigan always finds a way to lose. Harbaugh may be our own John Cooper. Win a lot of regular season games but can't beat OSU.

Exactly like last year's MSU game.  Played better, tons of hidden punt yards, but made enough critical errors to keep the game close and let them hang around.  And we got jobbed by the refs, obviously.

Harbaugh managed to lose to an osu team that had like 2 seniors... lol he just beat Harbaugh with a bunch of freshmen and sophomores. Do any of you really think he's ever going to beat him ? I don't. We are cursed.

Harbaugh still only in his second year, big improvment made this year but still not working with an all world QB, rather just a servicable QB and servicable OL.

Yes we lose a ton of seniors but we've had a great class and another this year. I don't care if Urban was able to come in an dominate from the first year, our time table is not theres, there was too much to be fixed when Harbaugh came in.

for nothing? A lot of guys here know football a lot better than I, just curious because it never seems to work against better defenses on the schedule.

Also, best of luck to Kalis. played good sometimes, not so great other times.
