Submitted by LSAClassOf2000 on

This will be the thread for hot takes which defy neat categorization but are still Ohio State related.

I still can't get over the refs. How can you make so many bad calls and still keep the job. This team played good enough to win the game. Damn. I hate everything right now. I need to go to a party and I don't think I can. I am so exhausted. Hope OSU get screwed by the playoff committee. B1G will do nothing. Assholes. We should just leave the conference. Dammit. Harbaugh recruits better come through for the next few years. I don't think I will long by watching games like this.

both tds in OT were becuz of peppers misplays.

don bown defense couldnt stop the qb run, we all knew what was coming and we didnt stop it.

did you not just watch Don Brown absolutely download Urban for 60 minutes? OSU had no offensive points until deep in the 3rd and it wasn't till the 4th when everyone was getting gassed that OSU started moving the ball with any consistency

Don Brown is the TRUTH. He ate Urban's lunch on that side of the ball

I have a reunion to go to later and I will be an emotional wreck because of this game.

FUCK.

FUCK.

Anyway, glad to get that out of my system - at last, I use these threads for their correct purpose.

That was deeply unsatisfying. Not only the complete fuckery by the officials on that first down call, and many others, but the fact that our offense handed them 14 of their points. I'm a little numb right now.

Too many mistakes.

Dumb play calls.

Refs gave Ohio State many BS calls both ways.  Refs never called them for a single hold.

Not really angry.   This is that way it goes in Columbus.

I have an observation: the refs didn't think OSU had a good enough Thanksgiving and decided to give them some more home cooking. Great game refs! You really deserved that win.

I'm done. I cannot take this shit anymore. we hired Rich Rod to beat OSU...he sucked...didn't get the rivalry...hired a Michigan Man...sucked other than during the OSU game...hire jesus christ himself and we're back to where we were under Carr. Unbelivable.

everyhing, I can't do this to myself anymore, its not worth it. This great team is going to end it's season with absolutly nothing to show for it. No playoff, no B1G title or title game appearance. We still have to listen to these buckeye fans trash us without being able to say shit back to them. We beat those fuckers in Cbus and the refs stole the game away...and left us with nothing. I won't do this to myself anymore, I'm done being a harcore.. no human should feel as sad as I am right now over a football game.

Fuck that, it wasn't even a facemask genius!! He grasped it on accident and immediately let go, didn't benefit the block at all, should've been a non-call all the way. Of course the hands to the face, our DL getting pulled by the facemask on multiple of their big runs didn't go called. The crew makes the O'Neil crew seem like the highest quality crew on the planet. What a complete and utter cluster of a clown show.

Time to face the music, Harbaugh is not the savior we thought he was.  Urban Meyer's team was better coached, better conditioned, and tougher.  Period.  For the last two decades, Michigan"s vaunted defense have always failed precisely when we needed them the most, and today was no exception.  This program's ceiling is, and likely always will be, the Citrus Bowl.

With an average O-line and a 3* RS Soph QB, Harbaugh went into Columbus and punched #2 OSU in the mouth looking like the clearly better team for much of the game. He is the savior we've been waiting for. Nick Saban didn't just magically go 16-0 in his 1st season. It took him 3 years to really get rolling. We're still on the upswing

You're retarded, OSU got their teeth punched in and had no answers until they were given to them by a half-broke QB and the fucktards in stripes. The D made the play they had to, when they had to. The ball was never close to the 15 on 4th down. GAME OVER. There is no other arguement, they overcame 3 TOs and everything else. The DEFENSE WON THIS GAME. There is no argument.

I understand being disappointed, but what are you talking about?

Meyer made the blunder of the game with his monumentally stupid fake punt. On that basis alone, Harbaugh outcoached him.

Michigan outplayed OSU pretty much the entire game.  They lost because of 3 turnovers and very poor officiating.

Speight played a courageous game, but also committed 3 turnovers. How can you blame Harbaugh for being risk-averse?

Michigan's defense dominated a very good offense playing a system that gives us fits. Barrett had exactly one big gainer the entire game, and Samuel was held in check as well. OSU's longest TD drives were both in OT, and we probably win if we can tackle Samuel when we had him bottled up, or if the refs spot the ball properly.
