Ohio propagating in the B10 head coaching ranks
With Beckman at Illinois, that makes four of 12 coaches in the B10 with ties to OSU. The list includes Beckman, Meyer, Dantonio and Pelini. The second runner up would be Iowa with Ferentz and Pelini (he was a GA so is double counted here) and Bielema only played. Northwestern sits in third with Fitzgerald and Wilson. Not sure what that says about the Ohio program when past staff or alums coach 1/3 of the conference teams (a comment could be made about Iowa here as well). At least we know where the hate will be coming from, as if we didn't know already.
Needed to make a correction re: Pelini, I thought he was a GA at Ohio as well, it was Iowa.

Turns out when you're a college whose football program is the focus of the entire state, this kind of thing happens. Never the less, it is pretty impressive.

Someone need's to organize some serious, legal, cash funneling to Ohio, NTM, or Toledo to make one of those schools relevant. TSIO has no idea how lucky they have it being in the only quality football program in the state.

So that's why every team in the Big Ten plays their best god damn game against Michigan

Bo Pelini disagrees with you.

we have an ex-coach in the MNC game. So does MSU.
I think that means the M in MNC now stands for "Michigan".

Ohio coaching staffs reproduce by fragmentation, so with Beckman at Illinois, eventually the whole B1G may be in danger.

It's not just OSU but the state of Ohio in general. As much as I hate that state you have to admit there are a ridiculous number of coaches that have ties to it. Bo, Woody, Brady, Urban Meyer, the Stoops brothers, the Harbaugh brothers, Les Miles and a whole bunch more.
And with OSU being the unquestioned football hub of ohio it's understandable that a lot of them have ties to that university.

It is absolutely pathetic that the entire state has but just one major-league program.

Jim Harbaugh and father Jack have no ties to Ohio as players or coaches.
John Harbaugh played at Miami of Ohio and was an assistant at Cincinnati.

Right, but he didn't specifically say coaching/playing ties, he said general ties to the state. The Harbaughs and Stoops were all born in Ohio, giving them ties to the state.
