Tebow honestly didn't impress me much that game. Percy Harvin was godlike for the most of the game and I felt like he was carrying the offense, not Tebow. Tebow's "scrambling" seemed to be along the lines of "run straight ahead". That might work on smaller D lines, but on a Lloyd Era D-Line stopping a 200+ lb guy wasn't a challenge. It was hilarious though watching our tackles come off their blocks and crush Tebow when he tried to run up the middle.

UM's defensive game plan against Florida (specifically focused on pressuring Tebow) was textbook. Tebow still cries and falls into a little ball when someone yells "Oh oh.... here comes Jamar Adams!!!!!"

I think in certain "dink and dunk" schemes, Tebow would do okay in the NFL. Think of Fran Tarkenton back in the day. He was a scrambler who generally killed you by throwing short passes. Perhaps Tebow could emulate a style like that.

...Miami draft Tebow and Tebow take Henne's starting job away!* :P *sarcasm for the resident circle jerkers whose full time job is clicking on every downward arrow on MGOBLOG.

Tebow has the potential to make a lot of people feel like big douchebags. He is a great QB who could get a starting job somewhere. He is a great leader and is showing the will to do the work. If lazy bums like Jamarcus Russel can start Tehow can to if he works at it hard enough.

Jamarcus Russell went to the raiders and can't keep a starting job there. He'll be out of the league this year or next. At best Tebow will be Brady Quinn who had endorsements as a BACKUP (EAS). Actually, Quinn had better Qb skills coming into the league than Tebow.

I read a lot of the comments to regarding that statement and they are bewildering. The number of people that slam Henne for having (and expressing) an opinion, while sharing their own irony in epic proportions. I know lots of people have difficulty looking at players for their favorite teams objectively, but it is insane to me how anyone think Tebow is going to be a successful NFL QB.

For instance: # Lou Spudhole says: March 18, 2010 12:48 AM Easy now Chad. Can you come back to Michigan and teach Tate Forcier how to throw, read defenses, and win games? # mrzazz41387 says: March 18, 2010 12:44 AM Since when is Chad Henne one to speak about being a NFL QB. He plays in a Wildcat offense. It's like staring into the sun I know I shouldn't look but it's so hard to look away!

I hate Tebow more than most but I think a fellow athlete saying stuff like that in the press is a dick move. Also, I hope it doesn't reverse-jinx Tebow. Lots of people said Brady was no NFL quarterback. If Tebow ends up having a huge career, I'm blaming Henne.

asked a loaded question. Chad gave his opinion. Where is the rest of the discussion. How did they lead into this comment? What was said afterwords? Forget it. All we get is this one excerpt of the interview and the media's persuasive interpretation. "OMG! Chad Henne predicts Tebow will fail in the NFL!" Fucking media.

While Henne is perfectly entitled to his opinion, I think he probably could have answered the question more diplomatically. Listen, I think Henne will be a good pro, but he really isn't in a position to pass judgment on the abilities of others to make it in the pros considering he's only been an off-and-on starter for about a year. I agree with him that Tebow probably won't make it as a QB in the pros, but say something like "He will have a tough time with it, just like I did," or something to that effect, instead of making a declaration that Tebow won't make it.

And that's okay, but for him to voice his opinion, like you just did, you bring up his history as a starter in the NFL? That doesn't make much sense. Look, as you just stated, Tebow is not an NFL QB, period. Chad was just saying what everyone is thinking, and I like that.

That's a pretty shitty thing for Henne to say. If that's how he feels, he should be smart enough to evade the question and not answer it, or just give some non answer like "Tim had a great college career, and I'm interested to see how it carries over into the pros." When you start publicly bad-mouthing people that didn't do anything to justify it, it makes you look petty.
