1) This "defense sucks they gave up 3 points and maybe shoulda given up 9!" stuff is hilariously on-brand. 2) DJ Durkin doesn't make sense as a person. Aggressive on 4th down until it actually impacts the outcome of the game.

but you're not playing with the same intensity up 28-0 on Maryland as you would in a tight game vs Wisconsin or OSU. That's just human nature. And in old Michigan days even vs mid-majors we typically conceded a few good drives and a couple scores.

The real issue here is the offense being unable to beat up on this opponent. That's what's gonna sink us vs OSU and Wisconsin. Peters isn't as bad as O'Korn was in his last couple games, but he's also not great - but then the offensive line is porous as hell in pass protection. In reality, this team is simply offensively challenged this year and it won't change over the course of a few weeks. And that's why Wisconsin and OSU are likely Ls. Not Don Brown or the D *occasionally* allowing a big play.

And then Maryland turns right around and hits a really nice play with no problem.  Harbaugh will choke this game away if given half a chance.
