Novak's swipe

Submitted by downst on

In a game like basketball, there are so many more discreet ways to take a cheap shot.

Too obvious man. Next time, try the balls tap while passing through the lane, or lean in on a screen.

Don't be such a homer (not directed just at you "me" but others posting as well). It was a a blatant cheap shot. If OSU had done it to us people would be stomping around calling for the guys head and saying things like "seee! they have no class."

I agree with the gnome, I was really starting to like Novak and this takes him down a peg in my book. (this is a rash judgement not knowing if Hill had messed with Novak earlier or anything like that)

I agree that it was a cheap shot and he got booted from the game. This was completely deserved. What I am saying, that I don't think he needs to be suspended any further. If Beilein wants to make him run stairs or dock him minutes, I would understand. I'm just not calling for the kid's head.

You're right a game or two would not be "calling for his head." That was exaggeration on my part. While I personally don't even think he needs that, I would understand. But anything beyond two games is excessive.

I agree with that.

Initially I noticed on the telecast that JB didnt really seem that upset, but the announcers were lauding for JB for not chewing him out on the court, guessing that he would deal with it in the locker room.

I am sure he had some words for Novak afterwards, and after thinking about it I actually agree with the announcers that for the sake of the kid and the team it was better not to chew him out on hostile turf. woo Beilein and all that.
