Not the biggest comeback in Stadium history

This was not the biggest comeback in Michigan Stadium history.  It was the biggest Michigan comeback in Michigan Stadium history.  As a student at UofM, I was at the 1999 Illinois game where Illinois came back down 20 points (27-7) to win 35-29.

Just pointing it out since the TV said it was the biggest comeback ever in the stadium.

Right, the local TV station and even a YouTube clip is claiming it was the biggest in stadium history.  I could be mistaken, but I think ABC initially said it was the biggest Michigan comeback in the stadium (which would be correct).

Getting a degree in history makes me pay attention to detail and accuracy - not trying to rain on our parade, I am very thrilled this morning.

Michigan was down 21-0 against Illinois in 1981 and the Illini were driving for their fourth score.  Michigan got a turnover (interception in the endzone if I remember correctly) and went on to score 10 unanswered touchdowns.  The final was 70-21.

The deficit & comeback occurred early in the game, so it might not "count".  And for what its worth, that game was not nearly as exciting as yesterday's win.

I'm pretty sure "comeback" means coming from behind at any time during the game. So if that's correct that Michigan was down 21-0 at ANY point and came back to win, that should be the biggest comeback in stadium history. (That's quite a comeback, by the way.)
