Someone able to embed his announcement tweet?  'Cause it includes a short music video...yep, a kicker put together a short music video to announce his college choice.  As a consumer of recruting news, I gladly accept part of the blame for where we are in terms of Clausen-esque hoopla surrounding verbal commits.

We've still got Blake O'Neill. Carlos Spicyweiner will have some competition for the ladies this fall.

Enjoy "Happy" Valley young man.

How this gets downvoted is pathetic.  PSU football prominence is precisely what Paterno avoided jeopardizing in doing the bare minimum  to help at risk kids.  How anyone can root for PSU football prominence after it, and it's principal achitect where the root causes behind the persistence of these atrocities and delays in justice, just defies reason.

That a large portion of their fan base blindly defends a man who did the bare minimum to help at risk kids when he had the power and authority to immediately bring justice, also defies reason,  and it is why I will despise PSU football with the fury of a1,000 burning suns for the rest of my life.

Who knows why Nordin is going to Penn State.  There are literally 1,000,000 possible reasons.

Maybe he likes Coach Franklin, maybe he thinks Jerry Sandusky was framed and wants to be close to PA so he can help break him out of jail, maybe he likes the school colors, maybe he sees an immediate opportunity to play, maybe Penn State is secretly cheating and paying him $100,000 to attend school.  Et cetera et cetera et cetera ..........

If the reason for his choice is some NCAA violation, of course, well that's not a good thing by the school.  But assuming that's not the case, Nordin can go to whatever school he wants for whatever reason he wants.

Ultimately it's not Nordin's obligation to choose his school based upon making up for whatever sins various other folk (that are currently dead, jailed, or indicted) may have committed.

I would have loved to get this kid. Definitely from what we have been watching over the past 8+ years. I know we have Andrew David, but could have been nice to get Nordin for more competition. On the other hand, I think it is good that we won't be using a scholarship on a kicker since we have limited space and in on a lot of elite talent that we need desperately.

If there is only 7 spots left:

WR: Ahmir Mitchel

OL: Terrance Davis OR Jean Delance

TE: Nasier Upshur

DT: Rashan Gary (we need at least one man at Defensive Tackle this year)

DE: Xavier Kelly (Weakside Defensive End/Buck Linebacker)

LB: Jonathan Jones OR one of the other many Lb's were in on.

DB: I think we need another pure cover corner whoever that may be.

That gets us to 28 I think and we will need to have 3 of them to Early Enroll to get back down to 25. I am also sure that we won't get all these players mentioned but we need to fill these positions regardless. I know there could also be more or less since there is talk about Greyshirts and possible guys decomitting before signing day in February.

Okay?

I don't understand is my post negative or something wrong with it? All I was doing was explaining how I would have loved to get this kid to breed competition, but we don't really need to use the scholarship in the end because we are in on a lot of talent at other positions. I added in the position I thought we could use another man at and who it looks like we could possibly get to fill those roles.

I am not trying to say we did't need this kid, becasuse he is a great kicker and would be a good addition regardless but we also have other positions we could use guys at also. I'm just confused in what I did wrong.
