Noon Games (open thread) + Viewing Schedule

Submitted by Mr. Yost on

Improvement Week. But still...get'up, it's GAMEDAY! Blacksburg, VA WAS ROCKING (for ESPN College Gameday)!

Not a GREAT week of football, but it could be worse...it could be June. Besides, some potentially sneaky good games or close games like the one last night.

EDIT: Changed from ESPN College Gameday (open thread) to Noon Games (open thread)

You folks who complain about college football must LOVE the offseason when I'm miserable. What do you do? Maybe I should take up a hobby.

If it's college football, especially P5 (err P6)  college football? I'm happy.

I won't speak for everyone, but I know I suffered all offseason for these 4.5 months. College football is too short of a season for me not to soak it all in. Especially when Michigan is actually GOOD.

Predictions:

Wisconsin has trouble with NW until they do that jump around thing and then they blow them out.

Florida does little for our resume' and squeaks out a win against Vanderbilt.

IU gives the Happy Valley Saquon Barkleys a scare in the first half but shit the bed in the second.

Champions of Life will begin to question their title after getting pantsed by Georgia.

Mork personifies Sam Eagle on the sideline, grumbles, sparty loses a turnover-fest.

ND beats up a defenseless Miami (NTM), gets offended when no one is impressed.

Auburn wins at home. Boring.

Rutgers gonna Rut... Can't even joke about it.

Clemson leaves VT wandering in an alley with a split lip, no wallet and a sore ass.

OSU (NTosu) vs TTU- One team scores one billion. The other team scores one billion and seven. You pick which one is which.

Alabama does Ole Miss like Negan did Glenn. Half the people cry, threaten not to watch the show anymore. The other half thought Ole Miss already died under that dumpster last season.

Pac12 after dark- everyone falls asleep, reads the box score the next day, shrugs.

Couple of Predictions:

Tennessee plays an inspired first half but Georgia runs over them in the second half to run away with it. Peyton Manning is not impressed. People question if Eason has played his last down for UGa.

Barkley further cements his status as the Heisman frontrunner today. Goes easily for 200 and two scores. The showdown between him and our defense continues to loom larger.

Iowa-MSU is a slopfest, but Iowa is the better team and wins a 17-13 barn burner.

Rutgers game is over 10 minutes in. We all have a good laugh about it.

Damn. Ferentz sucks at coaching. But, my God, he's a tough and good man. God bless his grandchild.

Pray for those kids everyone.

He's good at it, but at some point you have to wonder if he gets tired of being the Barbara Walters of sports reporting.

He's gotta crave to opportunity to do somethig that's going to make people laugh once in a while.

"Guys, could you just give me the You Had One Job segment for once?"

Those are actually the reason I don't watch Gameday anymore. I may be a jerk but it's annoying to me. Gameday should be shorter and sometimes the feel-good stories feel forced. Just do the good deeds without the cameras. I mean come on, when someone is sick and getting surprised by their hero football player but there are multiple ESPN cameras around as well as Rinaldi or Gene, don't you think it might be a giveaway?
