Noon Games (open thread) + Viewing Schedule
Improvement Week. But still...get'up, it's GAMEDAY! Blacksburg, VA WAS ROCKING (for ESPN College Gameday)!
Not a GREAT week of football, but it could be worse...it could be June. Besides, some potentially sneaky good games or close games like the one last night.
EDIT: Changed from ESPN College Gameday (open thread) to Noon Games (open thread)
Saturday, September 30

Yes. Va Tech is not winning
Not a great slate today. M is off...wish I could see M practice instead

How was last night a sneaky good game?
That was one of two good matchups all weekend
September 30th, 2017 at 9:56 AM ^
USC and WSU game was very very good.
Miami destroyed Dook
September 30th, 2017 at 9:56 AM ^
Poor English. Forgot the comma.
My point was I think we'll have some good games, like the one last night. These just may not be ranked vs. ranked.
September 30th, 2017 at 10:02 AM ^
This been a crazy weekend for commas and we haven't even gotten to the Saturday slate

Sam Darnold always looks confused.

You folks who complain about college football must LOVE the offseason when I'm miserable. What do you do? Maybe I should take up a hobby.
If it's college football, especially P5 (err P6) college football? I'm happy.
I won't speak for everyone, but I know I suffered all offseason for these 4.5 months. College football is too short of a season for me not to soak it all in. Especially when Michigan is actually GOOD.
September 30th, 2017 at 9:58 AM ^
With you
CFP is the best game on earth. End.
Off-season sucks. Unless there is receuiting hype lol.
Every day should be Saturday.
September 30th, 2017 at 9:55 AM ^
but I think Cal-Oregon is the best game of the day. Roll on, you Bears!

Crazy cossack

Predictions:
Wisconsin has trouble with NW until they do that jump around thing and then they blow them out.
Florida does little for our resume' and squeaks out a win against Vanderbilt.
IU gives the Happy Valley Saquon Barkleys a scare in the first half but shit the bed in the second.
Champions of Life will begin to question their title after getting pantsed by Georgia.
Mork personifies Sam Eagle on the sideline, grumbles, sparty loses a turnover-fest.
ND beats up a defenseless Miami (NTM), gets offended when no one is impressed.
Auburn wins at home. Boring.
Rutgers gonna Rut... Can't even joke about it.
Clemson leaves VT wandering in an alley with a split lip, no wallet and a sore ass.
OSU (NTosu) vs TTU- One team scores one billion. The other team scores one billion and seven. You pick which one is which.
Alabama does Ole Miss like Negan did Glenn. Half the people cry, threaten not to watch the show anymore. The other half thought Ole Miss already died under that dumpster last season.
Pac12 after dark- everyone falls asleep, reads the box score the next day, shrugs.
September 30th, 2017 at 1:01 PM ^
Florida squeaking by Vanderbilt doesn't hurt our resume. It's a conference win and their only loss would be to us.
September 30th, 2017 at 1:48 PM ^
No respect for the Florida secondary at all.
September 30th, 2017 at 10:02 AM ^
I see Rutgers is playing their besties today
September 30th, 2017 at 10:06 AM ^
Two teams trying to outphysical one another. Could be a bloodbath. In fact, they should tell the refs to stay away. This game will be "call your own fouls."

Go Knights! *throws up a little in mouth*

Go Hoosiers!

Wonder how pct of viewers use Bear time to refill coffee or take a dump

guilty as charged

I did both.

How do the TN winners at life get so much CGD airtime they suck
September 30th, 2017 at 10:33 AM ^
Couple of Predictions:
Tennessee plays an inspired first half but Georgia runs over them in the second half to run away with it. Peyton Manning is not impressed. People question if Eason has played his last down for UGa.
Barkley further cements his status as the Heisman frontrunner today. Goes easily for 200 and two scores. The showdown between him and our defense continues to loom larger.
Iowa-MSU is a slopfest, but Iowa is the better team and wins a 17-13 barn burner.
Rutgers game is over 10 minutes in. We all have a good laugh about it.
September 30th, 2017 at 10:33 AM ^
best crowd I've seen all year. They're going hard in Blacksburg
September 30th, 2017 at 10:46 AM ^
Is there anything else to do there really?
September 30th, 2017 at 11:04 AM ^
What else do they need?
September 30th, 2017 at 11:32 AM ^
What would other college towns offer than Blacksburg doesn't?
September 30th, 2017 at 11:41 AM ^
You can surf to class at UCSB. That's really cool.

Very cool college town. Good hiking nearby as well.
It's just in the middle of nowhere. But so Clemson (who they're playing). In fact, Blacksburg is way nicer than Clemson, IMO.
September 30th, 2017 at 1:06 PM ^
Yessir. Blacksburg is definitely nicer than Clemson. Both nowhere but one has stuff to do when bored.
September 30th, 2017 at 10:36 AM ^
The trash can is a fitting symbol of the Tennessee football program.
September 30th, 2017 at 10:43 AM ^
Haha yes
September 30th, 2017 at 10:47 AM ^
Next we'll see some poor Rutgers assistant lugging around a flaming tire on the sideline.

Best sign I've seen, "Clemson is a Morty", got a laugh out of me.
September 30th, 2017 at 11:03 AM ^
It sucks that I have to keep rooting for Florida. If there is a team that deserves to lose today, it's them.
September 30th, 2017 at 11:28 AM ^
You have our permissuon to go all #baddog on the next Gator fan you see
September 30th, 2017 at 11:10 AM ^
Obviously by now most of us have heard of the Iowa wave but the gameday bit is still a tear jerker.
September 30th, 2017 at 11:12 AM ^
Ya and I gotta give props to Ferentz for a 1M donation
September 30th, 2017 at 11:12 AM ^
Damn. Ferentz sucks at coaching. But, my God, he's a tough and good man. God bless his grandchild.
Pray for those kids everyone.

How insanely scary that Clemson D-line would be if they also had Rashan Gary? It's enough to make a grown man shudder.
September 30th, 2017 at 11:28 AM ^
The FBI would like to know more about their recruitment of Mr. Gary.
September 30th, 2017 at 11:27 AM ^
I need that CGD gig that local grub they get is a sweet perk
September 30th, 2017 at 11:32 AM ^
Tom Rinaldi, you've done it again sir. The master of waterworks.
He's trolling us now. Great tradition, amazing story.
September 30th, 2017 at 11:33 AM ^
He's good at it, but at some point you have to wonder if he gets tired of being the Barbara Walters of sports reporting.
He's gotta crave to opportunity to do somethig that's going to make people laugh once in a while.
"Guys, could you just give me the You Had One Job segment for once?"
September 30th, 2017 at 11:45 AM ^
...and they give most of those to Gene Wojohowski.
September 30th, 2017 at 1:16 PM ^
Those are actually the reason I don't watch Gameday anymore. I may be a jerk but it's annoying to me. Gameday should be shorter and sometimes the feel-good stories feel forced. Just do the good deeds without the cameras. I mean come on, when someone is sick and getting surprised by their hero football player but there are multiple ESPN cameras around as well as Rinaldi or Gene, don't you think it might be a giveaway?
