No College Gameday for M vs. PSU
It was just posted that College Gameday will be traveling to Provo, UT for the TCU v. BYU game this Saturday instead of Ann Arbor, via the College Gameday website. I'm assuming this is because they plan on coming here for The Game even though it will be very very cold.
P.S. I know there was already a topic about the speculation of Gameday coming to Ann Arbor for the PSU game, but since it's not on the front page I thought I'd post the news here.

If they do come for "the game" where do they typically set up. Also when was the last time that the game day crew came to Ann Arbor.

Last time, they set up in the parking lot on the North side of the stadium across from Pauline then had a place inside the stadium as the game got closer to starting.

The last time was 07 vs. OSU. They set up near the north end of the stadium I believe.

yup, they were in the lot north of Keech.
Before that they usually set up on the golf course. I remember them being there for one of the Notre Dame games. 2003 maybe?

Yep, '03 Notre Dame was up on the Golf Course.
They've been in a ton of different locations. Up on Keech, on the edge of the Crisler concourse overlooking the Victors Lot, over on the Pioneer corner of the Stadium concourse, in the Crisler parking lot, on the field, on the Golf Course...
There's really no clear-cut location for GameDay at Michigan Stadium, unfortunately.

I've been to Provo once (and UT many times). The women are HAWT!
Beer, not so much. There was actually a small tempest that brewed over a Starbucks opening at the edge of the BYU campus.
Much like they did for Coke and Pepsi, I think the LDS Church invested in Starbucks, though, so it turned out all good.

GameDay set up in the Concourse, Main/Stadium corner, was the WORST! It was impossible to walk anywhere near the south side of the stadium that day. And I think it was a security risk as well--seems like the crowd was much rowdier there than when I saw the setup on Keech and on the golf course (GC was the best set-up IMO).

ESPN doesn't give a shit about Michigan vs ranked opponents. In my opinion every year college gameday should be at the Osu Michigan game but because of the streak as of late it's been a waste of gas for ESPN.

Well it's too bad your opinion doesn't match those of the gameday producers. The first few times gameday went to UM games I was excited but over the years I've started not caring as much. So they don't come for PSU, big whoop
And also, if you thought they should've came to last year's game, shame on you.

It shouldn't of been there last year because of how bad we were that year in 2008. It's just the rivalry aspect of the whole game you know. It's the most recognized rivalry in all of sports except for matchups like Yankees vs Red Sox.

Game Day will come here when we deserve to have Game Day come here. 4-2 teams (I don't count Del St. as a game) don't deserve Game Day, regardless of who they're playing.

And if we would have beat MSU, Iowa and played a Big Ten team yesterday and beat them we would be ranked in the BCS no doubt. That Deleware State game didn't help us at all. Wins yes but in reality it didn't help. Go head and take a point off idgaf. That game didn't help.

two hour show, I haven't watched much. Its just a bit too much, Over analysis of anything is never a good thing.
It would be nice for them to come to AA, but I'm never there to participate in the crowd, I'd rather be tail gateing anyway.
When Kirk and Co. started being douchebags and wearing hats to The Game it was just time to give up on them being anything but Tressel leaches in the media machine. I don't really care one way or the other if they come to ann arbor again or not.
PS. set them up on the practice field or the track field, lots of room for fans and closer for the students to participate.
