UNC is in trouble if Mary gets back into the game.

...by W&M coach Tony Shaver. Almost epic.

UNC is not good this year.

I am very suprised they are in the NIT, 17-16 overall 5-11 ACC....normally that has CBI, CIT, written all over it

But they have a huge fan base across the country, so including them makes sense to sell tickets. BTW, I didn't see the game so I'm not sure how many UNC fans were actually there, but that was just my initial thought.

The conference record really doesn't matter. 17-16 is good enough for the NIT if you're a big-name school. (It would have been good enough for us, too.)
...about once every 100 years, I'm sure they jumped at the chance. UNC probably would have to be 0-33 to not be invited.

UNC pulls out the win, but an exciting game to watch. W&M were draining 3s the entire second half.
W&M runs a similar offense as us, so it was fun to see them score a bunch of points.
W&M was really close to making the NCAA tournament this year, and it shows why. I would have been terrified to play them as a 13-14 seed.
I hate ACC home officiating. THat is all.

Even fan favorite Eddie Hightower.

This is the second time this decade that UNC has been in the NIT. D'oh's last team ended up in the NIT "Final Four."
