Night Game Thread

Despite the sad entity that is UM football, there is a lot of fun football being played out there.  The SEC at this moment is engaged in some interesting games

  • Auburn 35, SC 35
  • Ole Miss 7, LSU 3
  • Alabama 27, Tenn 17

OSU is up 17-0 on hapless offense for PSU early in the 3rd.  Which is a big improvement on last year's decimation.

For us fanatics the Pac 12 has 2 good games kicking fof soon  with USC v Utah, and the fighting Todd Graham's traveling to visit Chris Peterson.  That is 3 teams in the top 20 in those 2 games.

This kills me cuz a crappy team like PSU is actually competing against OSU, but i know come late November, OSU is going to destroy M by 30+.

God please let Ohio State blow this so there can be some small college football bright spot today.

On their worst day, with a freshman QB, Ohio State's offense is better than we could ever hope to be.

It's the offense, it puts Barrett in a position to succeed. MANBALL only works if your offensive line is better than their offensive line and you had an effective and accurate pocket passing QB. The spread allows a team a schematic advantage. Michigan has neither the parts to run the offense they run or a schematic advantage.

By the people saying they are not sure who they want to win. How is anybody's hatred of Penn State even in the same universe as their hatred Ohio State. I mean it's fucking Ohio State. There is no team in any sport I despise more than OSU. Are there actual Michigan fans where this is not true?

i did my graduate school in Philadelphia at Temple. I dealth with Penn State fans daily. My hatred for them is about equal to Ohio State although I find myself hoping Ohio State loses.

If you had dealt with "Nittany Lion" fans every day you'd hate them considerably, as well.

If you did your schooling at Temple, you should be more worried about St. Joes, Villanova, UPenn and La Salle haha

Pitt and PSU have more of a rivalry, but yeah I get what you mean PSU fans are probably the most delusional fanbase in college sports.

Right now, I hate Michigan State more. Ohio State doesn't seem that dominant to me (though they will beat us this year). But my hatred for them grows in proportion to how good they are. I hate them, but not as much as when they thought they were in the running for the National Championship every year.

I hate PSU for defending JoePa and Penn State football tooth and nail through all the Sandusky crap. A vocal section of their fanbase still thinks its some conspiracy theory and the entire thing on their end was clearly viewed as those damned kids getting in the way of footbaw.

So in that regard, I never want OSU to win necessarily, but I like the Game mattering and I like PSU's JoePa ball-lickers to be miserable. That's what I meant by 'I'm not sure who I want to win'
