No, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

With your mom.

Just kidding.

I won the Fastest Viking Contest, though. I chose to run in the nude, whereas the rest of them wore their bearskin togas and carried their battle axes.

P. Omameh lifted a truck over his head, D. Molk benched 1000lbs.....these nuggets of info are like Reeses Pieces on a dreary Sunday.

I think Odoms beat the gun like Seinfeld did to win Lois.

And what was the distance covered?

I have to say that I am REALLY shocked that Tay won that event. Straight-line speed was not his forte' coming out of high school...although he did get an offer to run track from Miami (Yes, that Miami) ala LaTwan Anderson.

This begs the question: If Denard is made of dilithium, of what substance is Tay composed? Trilithium, perhaps?

because his speed has not translate to the field. Maybe he's hurt more than he let on?

Tay was in lane 1 and D-Rob was in lane 10. D-Rob is notoriously known for slow start and it was no different. If D-Rob knew that Odoms is ahead of him, he would probably put on a 2nd gear and go by him.

this link is behind a pay wall....I really want to know...OT...Are we going to see a thread soon..... "What is the bigger upset? The 69' OSU game or Odoms beating

They were both shot out of circus cannons and the recruits had to catch them.

It was one part Fastest Man, one part Trust Fall.

In related news, this same event caused Jason Kates to transfer a couple years ago. I guess he learned he couldn't trust anyone.

Medicine Ball Toss: Taylor Lewan finished

Box Jump: Mike Cox (45 inch vertical allegedly)

Carrying a Person Relay: Will Cambell's team won.

The Egg-Eating: Walkon OT Eric Gunderson was the run-away winner. It was supposed to be the first guy to eat 10 eggs, but he started eating other peoples' and finished with 14.

thanks for the info..I assume you meant that Lewan finished 1st?? Which is excellent news.

To hear that he "finished" makes him sound like the fat kid in class that everyone had to wait for then the coach made us cheer because ..."he finished"

If it was indeed a "box jump" (which is where you jump on boxes of varying heights), then that's not necessarily an exact way to measure a vertical jump, at least not in the way the NFL and NBA do it.

When you do a box jump, you can bend at the waist/knees to get your feet up to 45" off the ground.

However, that doesn't mean the top of your head went 3 feet, 9 inches higher than it was when you were standing up (or, in the NFL's case, that your outstretched fingertips reached 3 feet, 9 inches higher).

Zone Left

I can't access the link, but how come no one is mentioning Will Campbell as having one of the top 3 forty times for lineman? Seriously, if he is in great shape, he may be a holy terror next year next to Martin.

His development is a major issue for the team next year.

For real. If WC is still around 325 and is beating most the other linemen in sprints, that's a big deal. Obviously he also needs the technique, but his technique was good enough last year to get him on the field and play decently. With another year of technique training and that kind of raw athleticism, watch out.
