You know, if I were to play for M, I would probably get a block M or even something like "Those who stay..." but I don't think I would ever get the urge to have a giant wolverine put onto my ribs. And that's not even considering that a wolverine >>>>>> Spartan.

I have one on my right side below my rib cage and it hurt a lot. The least painful one I got is my Decepticon logo on my left forearm. My other two are on my shoulders and they weren't too bad.

Lamarr Woodley is a former All American and bona fide NFL star. When you're at that level you can do whatever you want and it's cool. Nick Hill will probably never be a starter and in five years will be some guy like you or me. He does not have the clout to pull that off. Lamarr Woodley could actually be one of the X-men. Nick Hill will be some guy who looks Whiskey Tango every time he takes off his shirt.

The kid is going to have a nice niche in the offense for a few years to come, and personally as a M fan I hope RR's lack of local recruiting doesn't come back to bite us in the ass in this case. Reading foolish comments like this makes me think it will and Nick Hill will have a big game against the Maize N Blue at some point in his career. Woulda certainly gone Blue if Hoke was around, he loved the Michigan family and had a great relationship with the players at UM when he was in HS at Chelsea, which is only 10 min away. He was actually giving the nickname Lil Mike by them because of his likeness to Hart in both running style and looks.

Oy. Godwin's RR Corollary strikes again. Again with the Meme That Won't Die.

FYI, even though he didn't work out, RR recruited the equivalently-rated Austin White instead of Hill. And though not Chelsea, Livonia is still in Michigan, last I checked.

So my comment was foolish because I said I didn't think Nick Hill would play much at MSU?

MSU's starting RB is Leveon Bell, and Larry Caper is the back up. Nick is a year behind Bell, so his best chances at meaningful carries is to wait until his senior year and hope MSU doesn't recruit another good RB in the meantime.  This is not me ripping on Nick Hill, this is just the MSU depth chart.  He only got 5 carries in Big Ten play this year, and they were all in a blowout of Indiana.

And don't blame RR for not recruiting Nick Hill.  If anything, RichRod was much more likely to recruit a 5'7" running back than Hoke is, and it's not like big programs were clamoring after him.  Fact is, Hill was the second best RB in the state and we only needed one, so we went with the other guy.

Having played the game at the college level I fully understand the tough decisions coaches must make when the numbers crunch at positions. Regardless of HS rankings, both Hill and White were good HS backs, One is currently on a B1G roster and getting snaps while the other is starting over at CMU.?

There were signs of White's character issues prior to him leaving HS. Whether they were a result of immaturity or lack of drive, I cannot answer but clearly the kid was not cut out to play Big Ten Football.

All that being said, RR swung and missed on White and its tough to see a local kid have any success, as minor as some of you think it is or may be, at a rival school. Character and drive is what seperates athletes from one another. I love that about Hoke's recruiting and overall message

It'll look cool but if he gets a gut when he's older, his spartan could end up looking up like that guy:

MARK PLEASE MARK LET ME TAKE THE BATTLEFIELD. MY FATHA WAS A SPARTAN PLEASE!!!

Regardless of my team affiliation, that is a pretty cool tat. Worthy's tattoo is somewhat embarassing, but Hill's is well done. I wouldn't personally want that on me. I probably won't ever get a tattoo, though.

His tat looks more like the guy who rides out onto the field with the sword during every USC home game than that butch cheerleader that MSU uses as their mascott.

I think it's a pretty good tattoo. I'm a little surprised that he did that, though, considering that he wanted to come to Michigan so badly. The first thing that popped into my head, though, was the tattoo that Justin Turner got and I wonder what he did with that and what Nick Hill would do if he ended up transferring to another school.
