Nice story on softball signee Aidan Falk and her sister's battle with leukemia

Aidan is an extremely talented, hardworking player, and I expect that she will be a regular starter next season at first base or in the outfield. MGoSoftball, perhaps a bit caught up in reverie after Aidan broke the NY state career home run record, went as far as to call her the next Romo. But regardless of her potential on the softball field, this story of her sister's illness makes it clear that we will have the pleasure of rooting for an outstanding young woman over the next four years.

for the post. I am ashamed to admit that I did not know about this. Aidan will be a beast for sure. I bet she bats 4th behind Romo. I cannot wait to see her this fall.

I agree. Made the same prediction in the 2015 preview thread re: protecting Romo. At this point it seems like it would be her or Silo.

I'm really interested to see what Hutch does with Susalla and the freshmen. Two open spots in the outfield, one at first base. I think Hutch is going to put Aidan in the outfield, at least for next year, and Christner is a safe bet to get the other spot. Then she has the option of starting one of the freshman infielders (Swearingen or Vargas) with Susalla in a Hasselbach-like role as a hitter only, or start Susalla at first and potentially get Tera Blanco's bat into the lineup. Like always, it will be a fun season. And the year after will be a really fun season.
