NFL Free Agency Open Thread

Bit surprised no one has put one of these threads up already, but with all of the basketball discussion I think the NFL Free Agency period officially opening got a little lost in the mix. Been quite a few moves already, with the Raiders looking like they made out like bandits so far. Upgraded by dumping Amari Cooper and picking up Antonio Brown, and only giving up a third and fifth rounder in the process. Amendola is heading to the Lions, so that should be helpful for Stafford.

I'm sure there will be a lot more movement in the coming days, especially with Le'Veon Bell, but who do you see going where? Who do you want to see going where?

5 for $80M.  Flowers is a good pick up and on the upside, something unusual for a Lions signing.  Here is where Belichick shows his true genius.  Most teams would panic seeing Flowers and Brown sign elsewhere.  Probably will pick up 2 3rd round comp picks next year and more important, didn't commit almost $150 M for 2 players.  Lost Solder last year to Giants, gets Brown cheap this year, has a strong season and cashes in.  Belichick will find someone like that, plug in and keep reloading.

The Jesse James signing was really, really good.  Hopefully this gets rid of the idea of drafting a TE in the first round.  Trey Flowers signing is what it is.  The Lions were desperate.  NE didn't see that type of value in him, so obviously the Lions will overpay for talent.

Solid day for the Lions.

Danny Amendola, 1-year, $4.5mil, up to $5.75 mil with incentives

Justin Coleman, 4-years, $36mil

Trey Flowers, 5-years, $80-85mil

Jesse James, TBA

We'll see how it works out, but I love that the Lions are going all-in.

Bengals sign one of the worst tackles in football to a 3 year, $21 million deal.

This is what happens when FA opens with a billion dollars in cap space available.
