Is the team wearnig this one as well for away games? I seem to recall that last time they changed the jersey, it was for the fans, and didn't match the ones that the players wore.

And these 3 levels are all slightly different.

First is the "Replica" (Cheapest) It has screen print numbers on the jersey and is made of the lightest/cheapest material (This is the one that Hail2thevict0r linked above)

The next level is the "Premier" (mid level) and then the "Authentic" (best stuff)

These both look exactly like the actual on field uniforms, with stitched on numbers but are different thicknesses of material - I tried on both, and the Authentic is definitely nicer. These jerseys are pictured below:

The main visual differences are negligible on the Blue home jerseys. The main difference on the Away jersey is the Yellow Piping. The Premier and Authentic have the same piping as on field, while the Replica has the cheaper "box" yellow piping shown in the post above this one

The jersey's haven't changed at all.  The #5 the OP noted is the same look as the #2 I bought last summer which you can buy as a Tackle Twill which is normally around a hundred or an authentic which is $150.  The #5 replica that hail2thevictOr posted just above this post has always been sold as the cheaper knock off by the MDen which looks horrible.  If the white jerseys are going to change at all we won't know until August when MDen gets their fall line of jerseys.

There are three levels of jerseys - The cheap replica with the strip across the chest which has been offered since the first year Adidas took over which is the screen print numbers.  Then there is the Tackle Twill replica which has sewn on numbers and looks almost exactly like the real thing and the yellow stripes follow the authentic look and have been offered the entire time Adidas has been with Michigan.  Then there is authentic jerseys that is the on the field product (the only thing that is not on those that the real players have is the dates of the big ten championships sewn on the inside of the shoulders)

So no I am not mistaken.

I know Adidas has had 3 tiers of jerseys available for purchase as when I wanted to buy an authentic adidas jersey I almost went with the Tackle Twill replica because it looked the same just slightly cheaper material.  I don't think they offered the tackle twill in #5 until mid to late season last year so maybe that is why you thought this.  It also hasn't been offered online at MDen because they couldn't keep them in the stores last season.

Anyway I just thought I would help clarify that we don't have a new white jersey before mass panic set in on the board and yes I can be despicable.
