Does anyone else find that to be inappropriate?

just for the fact of how bad SC beat Bama
October 10th, 2010 at 12:35 PM ^
That's the residual effect of last year's NC, plus the current media love for Saban.

They'll give Bama credit for playing their third straight top-15 team and losing on the road. But yeah, kind of a weird ranking.

Still, how can you be ranked 2 spots above the team that just beat you? It is a pro-Bama bias I guess, just as long as they don't try to play it off as an objective ranking.

Alabama's victories over Arkansas and Florida are still relevant.

Something went horribly wrong...Delete, delete...

I take the polls with a grain of salt, because most of those voters can't tell their assholes from their elbows...

Not surprised to see UM drop. I think the media was ready for them to struggle to drop them, and this was the type of game that will reaffirm misguided notions of UM not being good enough to compete nationally. It will be interesting to see where they wind up next week after beating Iowa (oh yeah, I said it).

Interesting. Pony mocked us at the beginning of the season, but loves us now. Ranked us #10 last couple of weeks and has us at #18.

Herbstreet now has us unranked...
I think votes for anything below 24 are ridiculous (16? Really? is Ringo and Ratto a comedy team or were they just asleep yesterday?). We should be unranked.

Man I wish we got to play Minny this year. Wisky got a nice extra cupcake this week.
I am surprised to see us still at #26. Won't matter much if we can't win next week, but if we can we will be vaulting back to ~19-20 I would think.

They have TCU higher than the powerhouse schools that round out the top 10. I think that says it all.

A bad loss, but we're still 5-1 with a dynamic offense (even if we didn't see it much yesterday). 24-26 seems about right to me, especially if we can rebound for Iowa next week.

We don't deserve a ranking right now; that game threw everything into doubt. Michigan did not perform like a ranked team, and now the Umass game and even the ND game begin to look like foreshadowing. The team can earn their ranking back with a win over Iowa or a good run down the stretch; until then, we are better off outside the polls.

We all knew this was coming. We have the worse Defense and kicking game in CFB. Once we make those team aspects near respectable then we will truly be able to say UM is one of the top 25 teams in CFB.
