Never Contact Prospects
Sometimes I hate social media, and its abuse by clueless morans. I just read an account of an absolute idiot. A Michigan fan who doesn't care for ANYTHING in Ohio didn't like the fact that DPJ is rooting for the Cavs to win over the Warriors. So he ended up getting in a twitter fight with a teenager. A prospect. This never ends well.
Moral of the story: never, ever, ever, under any circumstances, contact a recruit. Don't tell a recruit what to do. I hate this so much, I'd like for the mods here to out Wayne Bateman, and ban him from mgoblog, or send him deep, deep into Bolivia. Personally, I don't use twitter, and can't imagine trying to find a recruit with other forms of social media. Just horrible, irritating, wrong. Don't be that guy.

He looks quite a bit like that dude @Kaylen2009, who also is pretty bold-faced about contact prospects, but when you confront him about it, you come to find out from the tone and content of the insults that he spews that he is rather sexist and pretty worried about the size of his dick. That, and he's clearly not above creating accounts which are merely sad parodies of your own - not even clever ones either. It's a very disappointing experience trying to battle someone so devoid of wit.
Was that the guy who made the anti-me account on twitter? I can't keep track of them all.

I actually didn't track the guy's name down. I'm probably not internet savvy enough to do that. Someone over at Eleven Warriors apparently knows the guy and posted his name.
While I agree that recruits shouldn't be getting into Twitter conversations with random people, they're 16/17 years old. I have considerably less sympathy for the grown adults at the other end of the conversation.
Having 15 year old twins, their decision making is challenged. Including on Social Media. My 23 year old has improved, but still isn't all the way there yet.

Holiness has nothing to do with it. Not contacting recruits unless you have a preexisting relationship (teammate, family member, etc.) is all that matters.
