Do you remember how Nebraska allowed 8-year-old Jack Hoffman to run for a touchdown during their spring game in April?  The young guy is in remission for pediatric brain cancer, and the 70-yard TD run was a highlight on ESPN due to the feel-good nature of the story.

New footage of the run shows that the play was called back due to a penalty -- see the video below for Gus Johnson's call.  Also, don't miss Bo Pelini's heartwarming words for Jack at around 1:30 of the video.

The kid showed some solid vision before the QB stepped in, you can see at the beginning of the play all the lb's follow the blocking and flow to the left, if the wr holds his block thats a huge lane he is originally heading for.

I had Jack on my college fantasy team.  That "block" cost me 13.0 fantasy points and I lost that week by only 8.9 points.  Such B.S.

This was very well done.

The thing that makes it perfect is that wisconsin and nebraska are indentical in colors.

I just shouted (and then laughed) hard enough to freak out both cats and both kids. That was very well done indeed. Actually, now my son wants to see it again, as matter of fact. It was actually funny as well that they went back to a smiling Bo Pelini and a very at-ease Nebraska crowd.

I wish I had the free time to put something like that together. I’m glad there are people out there who do.

Well done interwebs, well done indeed.
