NCAA S16 Open Thread
Clemson - Kansas
West Virginia - Villanova
Syracuse - Duke
Texas Tech - Purdue
This has the potential to be 4 very good games. I'm rooting for the B1G and chaos. Enjoy.

That while it sucks for Haas and Purdue that he can't play, that Painter has a readymade, Dutch replacement waiting in Haarms.
March 23rd, 2018 at 10:53 PM ^
They've got to be the only team in the country with two guys whose name starts with Haa-.

to watch both games at the same time and refuse. Cuse-Duke is horrible to watch.
Please, can they both lose.

Same here. Was only waiting for Purdue to tip... Gawd, this Duke-Cuse game is awful!

Cuse and Dukie get in bench clearing brawls and everyone gets a broken jaw. Is that okay to root for?
March 23rd, 2018 at 10:43 PM ^
Purdue is throwing up a lot of bricks, so far. I hope they clean that up and become the team that beat Michigan twice...

gets away with lots of arm grabbing.

doing the Pennsylvania in Massachusetts?

are letting TT beat the hell out of Haarms.

Another elbow injury to a Purdue Haa- big man?

Purdue is awful. From the looks of it, if they showed up, they'd beat the living shit out of TT. But they're just throwing up bad look after bad look and not hitting anything.

was way late. Needs to go both ways.

Purdue is playing terribly. Dang it.
March 23rd, 2018 at 11:12 PM ^
Purdue has looked bad (baad?) these last 10 minutes or so.

Purdue pissed away that lead and looked awful for the last 4 or so minutes.
March 23rd, 2018 at 11:14 PM ^
with auto-bench for C. Edwards, no offensive flow, Haarms getting hammered, and only down 5 (after a 10-0 run). It feels like they're in an okay spot right now.

That one Duke assistant's jacket...

I'll watch Cuse-Drek for a few. Last Cuse bucket should have been an and-one.

Syracuse is getting good looks but just can't shoot. But - as in the MSU game - they're somehow in this.
March 23rd, 2018 at 11:22 PM ^
Watching two zone teams is... not good. Can these teams just die, already? I can't see why Duke is scaring everyone.

How did Omaha get a regional? The other three regionals are in LA, Boston and Atlanta. Omaha seems a little on the small side in comparison.
Do they just really want to help out Kansas?
March 23rd, 2018 at 11:27 PM ^
HUGE basketball fan.
March 23rd, 2018 at 11:38 PM ^
Omaha is actually a great NCAA sports city. Yeah, it's close to Kansas, but you're always going to get regionals close to someone. Before KC last year there were regionals in Chicago and Cleveland, for example. Omaha is, I'm confident, capable of making it worthwhile.
More notable to me, if still predictable, the west regional always seems to be in California. And next year it moves from LA... to Anaheim.
March 23rd, 2018 at 11:42 PM ^
That's bad. It's not like there aren't other Western cities to choose from. The same metro area should not host tournament games two years in a row.

is Cuse gonna let Duke throw that Oop?
