National Championship Uniformz

Submitted by thisisme08 on

Lost in all the CC hoopla is probably the most Oregon thing ever as Nike just unveiled super special awesome kewl UNIFORMZ for the National Championship game because nothing says (possibly) winning your 1st National Championship like not wearing your school colors.

you've seen the white pants (with maize and blue stripe) they wore with white jerseys in 1974.

Traditionalist that I am, I'd still like to see some experimentation with the road unis, such as blue pants with white jersey, and even (yikes) blue pants with maize jersey.  (Save maize pants with maize jersey for an Oregon match-up, the better to dazzle the ducks).

I just want something without all the piping. That template makes it really subtle and I don't think the Sugar Bowl ones had any, but it did have the striped sleeves. I also agree with the guy above that tweaking the away uniforms isn't a big deal at all, although personally prefer the maize pants and plainer white jersey.

So Nike makes schools wear alternate uniforms for their biggest game in a long time. I'm for the apparel company that let's us keep our traditional uniforms. Who outfits Penn State and USC?

This is my favorite uniform combination that Oregon wears. Silver and White looks awesome. Yeah it might not be exactly in their color scheme, but there school colors are green yellow black and silver.

I like them. Love how they continue the helmet graphic onto the masks. Like the simple design outside of the shoulder graphic. I think the silver looks significantly better than any solid white uni that a school might wear. Its distinctly Oregon dispite not having the team colors.

I like the OSU ones as well. Again, simple, traditional, distinctly OSU.

I'll get off your lawn now.

People in the future will either look back and say "Wow. Why didnt they just wear their normal uniforms" or "Wow, you mean every team's uniform didnt have a marquee across their chest and fireworks shooting out their ass the whole game? Strange times"

I am going to admit to actually liking the silver and white that Oregon will be sporting - that's a pretty slick combination, in my opinion. Granted, I would expect nothing less from the Phil Knight Foundation, but they do come up with a winner now and again, in my own opinion.

If Michigan ever makes the NC game, please let us wear an actual Michigan uniform and not something that looks like the away uni of the team we are playing.

Oops . . . I mean when we make the NC game.

That kind of insincerity can cause the Great Harbaugh to pass you by.

They sported the John Deereish looking unis in the PAC championship, and a similar uniform last week, but the playoff uniform was a nice clean look with a duck on the arm, no wings.  I'd like to see that paired with the chrome helmets, that'd be a very nice looking uniform. Away uniforms it is for this one.

With serial killer-esque attention to detail, Nike/Oregon (they're really one and the same) has tilted the O at 27 degrees to recognize the 27 bowl games they have played in.

Oregon's Rose Bowl uniforms were fabulous, right down to the Donald Duck patches. This uniform is just awful. You would think Phil Knight would have some pride in the school colours and exert some unofficial pressure.

Even though those are not Oregon's colors, I must say those uni's look pretty sharp. OSU one's are alright. Makes me wish Michigan would go back to Nike. That swoosh is simple yet infamous. I'm sick of that bullshit adidas.

Nike! The best the worst the thing to talk about. If we ever go with Nike I just hope we stick with the standard material and look somewhat normal. The neck strips and the sweat gut uniforms are ugly to me.
