National Championship Uniformz
Lost in all the CC hoopla is probably the most Oregon thing ever as Nike just unveiled super special awesome kewl UNIFORMZ for the National Championship game because nothing says (possibly) winning your 1st National Championship like not wearing your school colors.

you've seen the white pants (with maize and blue stripe) they wore with white jerseys in 1974.
Traditionalist that I am, I'd still like to see some experimentation with the road unis, such as blue pants with white jersey, and even (yikes) blue pants with maize jersey. (Save maize pants with maize jersey for an Oregon match-up, the better to dazzle the ducks).

Won't happen, they dropped that template entirely because it was garbage, as you pointed out above.

So Nike makes schools wear alternate uniforms for their biggest game in a long time. I'm for the apparel company that let's us keep our traditional uniforms. Who outfits Penn State and USC?

The National Championship will look like the Ohio State spring game. It won't even look like Oregon is participating.

Except for the part where some part of the Ohio State football team actually wins their spring game.

And this post is exactly why they should stop wearing black and silver.

Can you have uniformz when you don't actually have uniforms?
Also, Nike is loving this.

I like them. Love how they continue the helmet graphic onto the masks. Like the simple design outside of the shoulder graphic. I think the silver looks significantly better than any solid white uni that a school might wear. Its distinctly Oregon dispite not having the team colors.
I like the OSU ones as well. Again, simple, traditional, distinctly OSU.
I'll get off your lawn now.

so they're both wearing grey pants...wonderful. Give me some kit clashing.

Both look sweet to me.

People in the future will either look back and say "Wow. Why didnt they just wear their normal uniforms" or "Wow, you mean every team's uniform didnt have a marquee across their chest and fireworks shooting out their ass the whole game? Strange times"

Didn't Oregon lose 3 years ago wearing the same uniforms essentially? Guess they don't believe in sports voodoo or superstition.

Close, but not exactly alike

Understated but still cool, and still had some color.

The closest Michigan will EVER get to championship uniforms is posting Ohio States uni's..
Unless the NCAA sanctions ICE FISHING or IGLOO building..

Nice first post. I look forward to more of your intellectual additions to our discussions.

Saftey? Nice! The uniforms aren't bad, BTW. 8/10 for Bucks. 7/10 for Ducks. Could've gotten a little green in there somewhere, though.

If osu wins, it shouldn't be too tough to pick some up. Just find the nearest pawn shop or tattoo parlor in c-bus and you can buy a game worn pair...say, about 48 hours after the game.
Hope that helps,

I am going to admit to actually liking the silver and white that Oregon will be sporting - that's a pretty slick combination, in my opinion. Granted, I would expect nothing less from the Phil Knight Foundation, but they do come up with a winner now and again, in my own opinion.

If Michigan ever makes the NC game, please let us wear an actual Michigan uniform and not something that looks like the away uni of the team we are playing.
Oops . . . I mean when we make the NC game.
That kind of insincerity can cause the Great Harbaugh to pass you by.

They sported the John Deereish looking unis in the PAC championship, and a similar uniform last week, but the playoff uniform was a nice clean look with a duck on the arm, no wings. I'd like to see that paired with the chrome helmets, that'd be a very nice looking uniform. Away uniforms it is for this one.

Sounds more like the sweatshop these were made in messed up the stitching and Nike looked for an excuse to cover its ass...

Pretty sure that the only thing Nike cares about are additional bucks from jersey sales.
From a pure graphic design perspective, OSU is going to visually dominate Oregon whether one watches the game live or on TV.
