With the great day yesterday, the meme thread dropped off. Hopefully folks don't mind if I rekindle the fire a bit.
Obviously there was angst over Sparty doing their morning walk-through late. As many of you did, I saw the images of Devin Bush kicking up the Spartan field prior to the beginning of the game. What I didn't realize was that he was actually creating art that would take him and his teammates and the whole game to complete. Upon rewatching the game last night, I grabbed this screencap at the end:

Very nice - ? go back and do a montage like the end of the Shining (call back to what was done earlier showing Jack Torrance at the 1921 July 4th party) - and work this into past images

Speaking of, is this what's being referenced by the "always been here" thing? My first thought when I saw it was The Shining (that picture at the end of Jack at the party, and the"you've always been the caretaker" conversation) but it took awhile for someone to post that.

Will somebody please explain this "murderwolf" thing? Was that some sort of bad attempt at a mascot for us in years gone by?

Stop the alternate history stuff. The proof is in the original Victors written after beating University Chicago for the Western Championship in 1898. Louis Elbel was inspired by the look in the M players eyes as they torn the great Alonzo Stagg Chicago team apart. Many have postulated that the unblinking and unnerving maize and blue eyes of the M players was a sign they were possessed. He has always been here.
