Hollis is too busy trying to schedule a basketball game on the moon. No time to care too much about the hockey program. Or he's already preparing to parachute in from the rafters with Izzo at next years Midnight Madness clownshow.

Especially after Wiscy landed Granato & Co., this is a real head-scratcher.  I'm all for them continuing to suck if they want, but would not mind the whole of the B10 to get better.  Wiscy will be there soon, ND adds to it, but would be nice to see Sparty at least try.  Hollis is a dope.

Great.  They suck and I'm happy they'll continue to do so.  Are the games interesting when they're good?  Sure.  Does the natural order of things involve MSU being above, oh, say, Mercyhurst in the PWR, instead of nine spots below them?  Sure.  But we have only one rivalry in one sport where Michigan is elevated when the other team is good.  This ain't it.  So fuck 'em.

As long as the rest of the Big Ten is good (and Wisconsin's hire + Notre Dame is a real good start) then Michigan should do well with MSU being down because we basically have our pick of Michigan - though Notre Dame will definitely make some in-roads with MSU being down and Notre Dame being able to offer 4 games in Michigan every season plus all their home games just over the border
