We need to be able to hit on some deep passes against this defense to come back and win the game.

Our O-Line is totally incapable of blocking, whether it's I-Form, Shotgun, Max Protect.

What do?

this game has been really really depressing.

if it doesn't make you worried about this staff, well...

i'm sure there will be all sorts of purported experts who claim it's all on the players, but I'm sorry, in year three, they should look better than this.

Why is he on the field? Why is he being put in a position to block guys he has no prayer of blocking? Get Tousaint off the field and spread it out with 5 recievers. It probably wont work but it certainly wont be this embarrasing! And can we stop running play action? I mean its getting comical at this point.

I know we're young and inexperienced on the line, but to be this bad is not even remotely close to the realm of acceptable.

If there was ever a game that convinced me that Funk needed to be shown the door, then this was it. His O-Line is costing us the game.

Given up on our staff. Absolutely no improvement in any facets of the game. Horrible, horrible schemes and play calls. No adjustments. Every win is a nailbiter. Every road game versus a good team is a guaranteed loss. Honeymoon is officially over for me.

Some please tell me how you call an offense when a) your OL cannot pass protect, and b) your offense cannot run block.  I know you all want to hang someone, but there isn't much Al can do.  MSU's defense is dominant, and they're like sharks in a feeding frenzy right now.

You do not ask your line, that you know has been having problems blocking everyone, to pass protect on every damn pass play, for 3-5 seconds.

You have some short pass plays. Get the ball quickly on the outside to your play makers.

Notice how MSU moves the ball. Not by throwing 30 yards down field every play but with a lot of short routes.

Michigan is going for another 27 for 27

27 sacks for -27(x10) yards

Game plan: Under no circumstances get the ball out of Gardner's hands quickly. Make sure that all receiver patterns take at least 3 seconds.

I don't care if its only been 3 years.  I don't care if the cupboard was bare when he got here.  Michigan's line play has gotten worse each year.  No more blaming RichRod.  This is on Hoke and his staff.

Hoke can stay because he recruits well, Mattison can stay for the same reason, and because of how he turned around the 2011 defense with the same guys.  But, Borges and Funk have to go and we need a QB coach.

with a sacrificial lamb. Funk goes this week. If no improvement, Borges at the end. Year 3 people. Wake up. Urbz is in year 2 and they have not lost yet.

I agree with your premise, but that's not a fair comparision.  Urbs was able to cherry pick a talented team with the perfect QB for his system.  OSU may have had a down year for one year due to the coaching change, but the year before they lost one game.  We lost 5 or more games for 4 straight years.  Urbs walked into a great team and Hoke is trying to build one.  I agree something has to change, but there is no comparing the two.

Nice play State.  Way to actually look at film and changes plays as needed to maximize your teams' talents and abililiies.

What's that like anyways?  As a Michigan fan I've never seen that before.
