I have to say, the MSU fans, alumni, and many faculty members are reacting in a way that is not parallel to Penn St. Unfortunately one parallel that is drawn is the grave incompetent and immoral leadership

the fact that Simon is still President and the Board of Trustees has publicly provided support for her is far more damning. Nassar was indicted on December 16. Over a month has gone by and MSU's higher-ups just keep doubling down.

If you want to compare to the PSU case, consider that Sandusky was indicted on November 4, 2011, and both Graham Spanier and Joe Paterno were fired on November 9.

Nassar was indicted on December 16... 2016.

How the fuck has it taken a year for this to gain traction and why the fuck aren't these people gone? How the fuck did MSU's 2014 investigation not find anything and why was he allowed to work doing that time?

Once again, the specifics of what Simon knew are irrelevant. Even if she knew literally nothing (which isn't the case), she should still be gone. If you're the head of an organization and you are so oblivious to the point that you aren't aware that an investigation is going on regarding one of your sports doctors molesting over 150+ girls over 20 years... wtf are you even doing? How much longer before Simon is out?

attempted a rope a dope with the football team investigation. They sold it as their “reckoning” with the hope that people would see all of this as “already addressed” by that sham press conference that Dantonio and Hollis had about “rebuilding the culture” and yadayada. For a while, I thought they were unfortunately going to pull it off. They did not account for the victim impact statements and now they are in deep shit.

I really hope that enough people step up, follow through and do the right thing here.  More people involved will make it harder to wash over and keep going on business as usual for Simon and the trustees.

They need to go.

And happened to notice Nassar's lawyer hand him a frickin' Starbucks! That type of luxury should be forbidden out of decency. He should be given piss water with a floating turd in my opinion.

i don't know where he is now or wtf he's doing, but since this story has been spreading he's spouted his fair share of stupidity as well. Examples: He claims he has had almost no interaction with Nassar and can't remember if they ever met in person. That's a lie. And by the way which is it? Did he have "almost no interaction" or have they never met? More BS: Hollis told police he didn't even know about the allegations against Nassar until he read about it in the Indianapolis Star. That's crap.

Almost everyone has turned against you now. The faculty, students, alums, and boosters all want you gone. I'm assuming at least several members of the board want you out too, whether they will publicly admit it or not. I don't know how you survive this, and even if you do, you will spend the rest of your career there knowing everyone utterly despises you. Everyone will be looking for an excuse to fire you, and the longer you stay, the further damage you do.

Resign while you can and save whatever dignity you have left. Which I'm assuming is at a minimal level if things like this happened under your watch and you turned a blind eye to them.
