Motor City/Little Caesars/PizzaPizza Bowl Open Thread

Sheridan vs. Enos. Local team vs. they have enough teams in Kentucky to have one in the west? Confidence points vs. WK-5.5. Bad football vs. boredom on a snowy night. Who do you have? And where would you rather be?

Just see some other teams play. Sheridan would have been a good excuse to go to this one. But the weather blows. I know Kentucky isn't tropical either, but man bad enough these teams have to go to Detroit for a bowl game. Now they're going to get snowed in.

Should pay attention to Eric Fisher, LT from CMU. He may get drafted in 1st round.

Also, keep an eye out for Andrew Jackson. He's short and well built ILB who can stuff the running game.

Noticed the Chrysler, Buick, Ford & UAW logos on the 25yd lines. Pizza Bowl showing it's roots to it's past as the Motor City Bowl.

I like CMU's RB Zurlon Tipton.  He's a kid who wanted to come to UM, and I was hoping we'd give him an offer but we never did.  He's turning in to a really good MAC tailback.

But as cold predictions (which is not what they do) the lines have been awful this bowl season. Arizona near double digit fav in a game they probably should have lost. Utah St should have been an even bigger favorite. BYU wasn't even a FG fav. Ball St lost by a lot more. Fresno was an 11 point fav and lost by 30. And W. Kentucky isn't looking like a 5+ point favorite.

I will say that I did like how the footballwas batted away on the Hilltoppers' last drive, almost as if Andrews said, "RUN! RUN!" as he hit it.

Also, is it just me or is passing just not working for the most part in the past few minutes for either team? The sack of Jakes reminded me that being able to attack a defense through the air is sometimes taken for granted.

EDIT: The CMU offensive line needs to not make Ryan Radcliff block his own pass attempts. Sack, fumble, recover own fumble. Interesting play, but that's a lot to ask of your QB.
