Mostly-OT: Aaron Rodgers charity event

Submitted by Larry Appleton on August 19th, 2018 at 9:30 AM

Last night, I got to attend a charity event during which Aaron Rodgers spoke and answered pre-submitted questions.  His first question was “Who is the strongest leader you’ve ever known.”

His answer, without hesitation: Charles Woodson.

He talked for about five minutes about Charles and why he admired him, and it all clearly circled around Charles’s immense confidence.  The way he addressed the press, the way he talked with his coaches, and the way he addressed his teammates all instantly commanded respect.  It was great to hear such great things about such a great Michigan man from such a revered figure!

Unfortunately, later in the evening came “What was the greatest play you were ever a part of?”  I immediately buried my face in my hand because I knew what was coming.  Sure enough, “2015 in Deteoit.”  The crowd roars.  I groan.

Did he also mention when he whined for a face mask on a play where his face mask wasn’t touched? Then got the call because the NFL doesn’t give two shits about their officials?

Of everything he accomplished and won, it's weird he would mention the Detroit play, especially because they had a similar play later in the season that had more meaning.

The Packers would've beaten NE in the super bowl in 2014 and 2016 if not for Seattle flukery and Kyle Shanahan...change my mind.

Gonna have a chance to take down lions fans second favorite team this year again. Hope the Lions enjoyed their two free wins last year courtesy of Hundley.
