is certainly keeping the last week or so of my summer interesting. If it's 2015, I'll go with Crawford, as that seems trendy/the only one that I know of that seems close that seems big. If it's 2014, and "bigger" than Crawford, the ones on the table that seem actually "huge" would be a Lattimore surprise, McDowell, Hand just going for it, or one of the West Coast guys, or maybe some wonderful resurgence in Fournette stuff.

FWIW, in a post on the board Tim Sullivan mentions that Michigan made a huge move for a top prospect over the weekend and that this prospect may decide soon.  That would lead me to believe that it is not someone like Crawford, Jenkins, Hand or McDowell, who are are favorites for already.

Lattimore may not be as far fetched as most of us think. There is some circumstantial pieces of evidence in our favor. First, he has stated several different times that he is not an OSU lock. Second, Lattimore had a great time at the BBQ, and there are unconfirmed rumors that he sat alone at Ohio's FNL. Now this report about us making a big move with a top recruit this weekend. It's possible.

Add on to it that I read somewhere that he wants to wear the #2 in college. And of course, Hoke's slick ass has him decked out in a #2 jersey, which btw happened to be worn by a certain Heisman trophy winning cornerback from Ohio. Coincidence?

I think this could apply to McDowell.  He is a Michigan lean, yes, but he also was planning on taking all of his official visits (in SEC country) and not deciding until the AA Game.  If his BBQ visit pushed up his decision and he's no longer taking visits, I'd consider that a huge move.  Plus, I think I read that he was scheduled to be back in AA later this week.

These kids are seeing the light and Michigan is ascending faster than any other major program in the country. Recruiting is college football and at this rate im going to be broke the first week in January accomodating BCS bowl travel plans for years to come!

Lattimore is the best case scenario. Hand and McDowell are great too, but we've known we'll be at least finalists with them for months. Lattimore would be an surprise bonus.

Lorenz says it's a 2014 guy that's bigger than Crawford, so that narrows it down quite a bit -- Hand or McDowell most likely. I guess it could also be a big surprise like Juju, Montae, or Adoree (Fournette and Mixon seem to be not even long shots anymore).

It could also be somebody like Booker or Looney, I suppose.

if we take the facts, such as that it's a 2014 guy, is a bigger deal than a top 150-ish DB from 2015, and is fairly sudden/unexpected, I'll say f&*% it and go with Lattimore. Book it.

I can't see why Hand would commit seeing how quiet he's been.  It's gotta be someone from the BBQ so I'm gonna guess on McDowell with Lattimore as the kicker.  For some reason my gut likes Lattimore the most though. That being said everything we don't expect to happen seems to be happening so for all I know it's like Marlon Humphrey or something.  He is in AA....

If the stories of Lattimore supposedly having a good time at the BBQ and the whole him sitting alone thing at FNL are true...smells like orc mischief to me
