This thread is an ad-hoc way of tracking what threads and comments get removed. Mods that remove a thread should post the title here with a brief reason as to why the thread is gone.

NOTE: if you leave an irrelevant comment in this thread it will be deleted.

OT: Mad Men

While appreciate the DVD tip on Amazon for just $10 this weekend (wink wink), it's OT.

Man, I go eat some turkey and you guys go ahead and get to 70 replies before I can nix this thread.

Drew Sharp being garbage/stupid/crazy/mean/traitorous/a huge net negative by his existence to the human intellectual marketplace is not any more news that "OT: Water is Wet."

More specifically his job is to write columns that invite flaming. We don't need that here. Unless you are in a position to fire Drew Sharp from a sportswriting job, in which case you should fire him immediately, there is no reason to pay attention to Drew Sharp.

I'd like to post a thread or diary, but I'm not sure how.  I saw the FAQ state that I need 20 pts. which I just attained.  Any instruction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and go blue!

Sorry for being a little daft, but I posted a comment on the "Being Dave Brandon" post and it isn't there.  Is this because it's been removed, is being looked at by moderators, or because I don't have a lot of posts and it's some sort of "hasn't reached threshold X" thing?  I assume it's the last of the 3 as it's a pretty uncontroversial post.

I haven't deleted any singular comments lately. The only way those get deleted are by moderators who see something wrong with what was said. Normally this means insulting other posters, general trolling, posting "hot chicks" just for the sake of "hot chicks," using certain cuss words or cussing for the sake of cussing, or maybe just plain stupdity.

The more likely option, if yours was a response in a long line of responses, was that one of the comments earlier in the string was deleted, and every comment down that string of replies was deleted. So say if I was to delete your comment, this comment I'm making now would disappear. This happens fairly commonly as comments with a lot of replies to it tend to be either controversal or stupid.

Without knowing the context that your comment was in, or what was said, I can't give you a clear "it was this" detail.

The noise to signal ratio on the board is getting pretty ridiculous.

I hope the mods start cracking down on the posting just to post, the posting of the same image/clip/tagline in every thread, and especially the gratuitous posting of boobs. It goes against a bunch of general guidelines for the board and just makes the site look juvenile.

Look, we can only delete boobs so quickly.

Misopogal just asked me why I'm looking at all these female pictures, alright? ALRIGHT?!?

Response I gave her: "I'm deleting them off the site because people are idiots."

Response I thought of giving her: "Because, honey, that's what the Internet's FOR!"
