Moderator Action Sticky

Submitted by Zone Left on

Brian has requested that instead of deleting each individual comment in the Moderator Action Sticky, that we instead just create a new thread. It takes hours of less time, preserves the comments for future explanations, and just clears things up faster.

You'll notice that the previous thread is now locked, and will slowly fade back into darkness. For the time being, the link from the Useful Stuff menu will point to the wrong location. We're working on a fix for that.

This thread is an ad-hoc way of tracking what threads and comments get removed. Mods that remove a thread should post the title here with a brief reason as to why the thread is gone.

NOTE: if you leave an irrelevant comment in this thread it will be deleted.

there is no reason for using that as a term on the boards.

His comment has already received several counter-comments and 1 suggestion of a ban hammer.  Perhaps required?

He also uses Polak in this comment here, so there is a bit of a derogatory history

EDIT - wow I feel like a tattletale, but still, no place for that on this board.

Females can Wedding dresses pants or a skirt. A shirtdress or a wrap gown would even be informal but nonetheless dressy enough to display respect for that occasion. Bridesmaid Dresses Suggestions: Though rules have calm somewhat over time, most brides will enjoy it if no female friends wear white. Black, once considered unacceptable for weddings, is now a fantastic choice for an Cocktail Dresses. For any night situation, a clutch could be the excellent Evening Dresses option. For formal events, decide on a night bag made of silk, satin or velvet. As the event gets much more informal, so can the materials. From bombshells like Amber Heard and Beyonce Knowles to Hollywood's sweethearts like Zooey Deschanel and Taylor Swift, we have deconstructed the keys elements of retro style. If you are planning to develop a signature aesthetic and love vintage-inspired looks, you have come towards the correct place. From shades to shorts, updos to eyeliner, we have honed in on the best of retro star design.

Retro Hairstyles Hollywood enjoys retro hairstyles!Let's start from your best. Try Duffy's sweet half-up design with parted bangs and a dainty bow clip for extra allure. Dita Von Teese, on the other hand, will be the queen of retro glam and loves to vamp it up with side-parted shining '50s ringlets. Amber Heard exhibits off a voluminous twisted updo for that excellent bombshell look?alearn how you can remake this 'do together with your hair right here!

Retro Elegance It appears all celebs are using inspiration in the legendary Brigitte Bardot and trying out the cat eye. You'll find numerous versions on this attractive '60s make-up look. Although Alexi Chung's signature cateye is created having a delicate skinny line on her leading lid, design chameleon Beyonce Knowles likes to deliver out her retro Prom Dresses with a remarkable winged style. Country sweetheart, Taylor Swift, likes to perform up her '50s looks having a daring red lip and fluffy untrue lashes.

requires banhammer. See his comments about black QBs in the OSU game open thread.

Also see his subsequent "!@#$ your dog. Dead trash!!!" comment. This is the most banhammerable crap I've seen on MGoBlog, which is impressive.

Carroll likely (obviously?) had nothing to do with an individual's decision to use drugs and, in addition, this is probably not Board material at this point in the season.

No OT.  Plus, the comments weren't very helpful, mostly due to my silly comments encouraging others to engage in silliness.  But its a Friday - cut me some slack!

Many women choose to wear them, not as a guard against evil spirits, but as a way to accentuate their features and add another layer of tradition to their wedding outfit. What bride doesn't love peonies? They are a beautiful, fragrant, truly an effortless?flower and one of my favorites too! They are gorgeous designed with other pretty florals and they are naturally? stunning on their winter wedding dresses own. http://www.loaddress.com

Its all fun and games until you realize that there are real people on the other end of the internets, real people that have real lives in addition to their moderator duties, real lives that require lots of time, time that should not have to be spent removing silly threads, silly thread that are inappropriate material.  Stop being so insensitive!

Other than the need of being at least a man short, you not only are around enough to know the flow and feel of what flies on the site (that all sounded very Dr. Seuss), you have an argumentative style that goes more on facts than anger that should help mediate issues. I never have really given much thought on who should be mods from the masses, but offhand I can't think of any or many that wold be better. Thanks for taking on a thankless job.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders, the most famous of which is "never get involved in a land war in Asia",  but only slightly less well-known is this: never go up against trolls when death is on the line!!!

Seriously though, best of luck. You'll do fine.
