Mobile options for tomorrow's game?
Hey, I was wondering if anyone knew of any mobile options to watch tomorrow's game. I'll be at the Penn St.-Indiana game in Landover, Md., and not in front of a TV.
The wisdom of that decision aside, is anyone familiar with mobile options to watch the game? I have a relatively new model BlackBerry Curve, and an iPod Touch. I'd be willing to buy a mobile radio or handheld TV, if that's necessary. Like I said, I'll be in the metro Washington, D.C. area.
Any ideas, beyond hitting refresh on ESPN.com?

hitting the refresh button on ESPN.com is not fun.

You can set it up on most phones to automatically refresh now...but it's a battery killer.
GO BLUE!

Why is this game in Landover?

It's one of these new-fangled destination games. Much like the games at Wrigley and Yankee stadium, the teams are trying to expand their footprint.
I believe this is also a home game for Indiana, thought it will almost certainly be more full of PSU people. It helps them boost the attendance average they need to keep to remain D-I eligible.

You could be Mobile after the 1st qtr when IU is down 20 points and go to the nearest bar...But seriously I'd go buy FLO TV or soemthing.

The BlackBerry will pretty much do nothing for you. The ESPN app is your only option there. If you had a Droid or iPhone, I think you would be able to watch it on ESPN3 using your 3G. But you have to have Wi-Fi to access that on your iTouch. Frankly, doesn't seem like you have any good options here. The handheld TV won't work because the game is on ESPN and doubt you'd get cable on that. Same goes for getting WTKA broadcast on a radio in DC.
DVR is really your best bet here.

I have an iphone. I've watched a couple of M games this fall or part of them from the Justin TV app. Its a battery and data sucker if you're not on wifi, but well worth it.

Depends what carrier you have. If your Curve is on Sprint, it's very simple to do. Go to the Sprint TV app, and there should be a live ESPN channel (I believe the game is on ESPN). Sprint TV and the live ESPN channel are free, so that is a great option and has worked wonders for me in the past. If you aren't on Sprint, find a friend with an Iphone that is on Sprint, or switch to Sprint asap. A more expensive choice is to go buy a slingbox.

Didn't know that about Sprint. I'm a Verizon user, but I'll see if any of my gameday companions are with Sprint.

Not all sprint phones have sprint tv, but it seems like the majority of sprint smartphones do. Here's a link to the list http://shop.sprint.com/en/services/popups/sprint_tv_popup.shtml

I used Orb on my computer. http://new.orb.com/
Free download, but need a tv tuner card for your PC. Can get those cheap. Worked well turning my computer into a slingbox - works best with cable tv.

This app for the Touch works great. Gets all kinds of radio stations including WTKA. You will need WiFi obviously.

<br>As for video sling works great also. I'd offer for you watch my slingbox during the game if there was a non public way to give u the info.

Down load the app. iheartradio.
Choose news radio WOOD 1300.
You can listen to Frank and Brandy pregame, game and post game. Dont get freaked out with periods of silence, not all commercials will be broadcast. Hope it helps.
