He looked pretty slow on that play to be honest. But he is in the viper role, right? I was surprised to see him back deep on that play. But now that I think about it I remember that Peppers and Delano often switched spots to make it easier to adjust to offensive alignments.

What's interesting is that Iowa State's offenses weren't even that highly-rated or statistically successful during Herman's stint there, but Herman was known as a hot young mind who knew the no-huddle approach, was a great recruiter, and aced the interview.  Also, the story of Herman's epiphany regarding the advantage that a no-huddle approach can bring to the offense (putting the defense at a disadvantage with tempo, etc.) is interesting.  (He converted at Rice, where his predecessor, Todd Graham, had used a no-huddle approach with success.  When Herman had the team huddle, and the team lost its first four games, his players convinced Herman to give it a try, and the rest is history.)

I would love if the lightbulb went off for Harbaugh to realize the advantage that an uptempo (no-huddle at times) offense can have in the college game.

11 vipers on the field at once?  It seems like anyone on defense who's not a dlineman says to the media "they're recruiting me as a viper" or "I'm playing the viper posiiton" now.

Given how the WR group has looked so far this season, it's unfortunate that he was whisked away to defense to spend the year learning something new.  He would have been more useful this year on offense!  Hindsight...

With JKP moving to corner Michigan continues to have zero safety depth. After watching Kinnel and Metellus get burned on Saturday that is extremely concerning.
