If this is how he really feels he shouldn't come here. I don't mean to be rude or to say I don't want a guy who is not all in but if he really wants to go somewhere else he should for himself. I would love to have him and I think he would do great here but he shouldnt choose us if he, in his gut, really wants to be elsewhere. Still though Go Blue Dunn! Hopefully your heart will feel the same way as your head someday.

Visiting Michigan twice, having M commits in his ear and twitter all day, better system for him in the long run - looks like Hoke and Mattison have the kitty in the bag

OK this kid is approaching "OVERRECRUITED MEDIA DARLING"... ooh let me tweet this syndrome.

So at this point, if Michigan "lost" this kid to Meyer and co....

I would not mind. ...not at all.  They can have another Pryor situation.

Spread or no spread. Urban Meyer or no Urban Meyer. The one really big thing going for us right now is the culture Hoke has created with his current players. He always has their backs and has made them into a Michigan Family this season Hoke has created a culture of higher purpose. It's not about him, it's not about an individual player, or recruit, it's about Michigan fer gods sake. Now our current recruits are buying into that culture and already are bonding as a team, a team, a team. Not all recruits will be college all americans but Hoke can guarantee an equal shot, world class education, and being part of the Michigan family. It's great top see these recruits already feel apart of Michigan. Love to have Dunn but no worries if he goes to Ohio. Michigan will be just fine.

Fitz is my guy next year. 1000 yards. 1-0 as a starter against osu. I hope we land BD but we have to go back to developing players so that they are primed and ready when needed. That's why the QB situation is perfect. Denard will have a strong senior year, than Devin tears it up for two years welcoming in SM.

Fitz missed a game this year (ND) and was notoriously injury prone last season.

Is Wellman the key to keeping him healthy or was this season "lucky"?  I don't know.  What I do know - we need Dunn to come in and be the backup in case Toussaint gets hurt again.

There will be issues next year with some position groups (DL mainly), but think about all the weapons at our disposal:

SR Denard, JR Toussaint, SR Stonum, SR Roundtree, JR Gallon.... I mean... wow.  If you add Brionte into that mix?  In the 2nd year of Borges?  I think we'll score 35 a game.

Sam Webb just tweeted that Brionte was impressed by Meyer.

Understandable under any circumstances.  I'm sure the kid's head is swimming with confusion right now.

"You'll be my first 1,000 yard rusher.  I'm a Big10 guy originally and I know you have to have a power running game to be sucessful.  Right now, that's the one component I'm missing in the running backs we have.  Hope you're ready to play a lot as a freshman....blah, blah, blah"

If that doesn't work: "Tim Tebow told me you should go to Ohio State."

Lucky for him he never stays in one area for too long. Lying to recruits works great at first, but when you go back to recruit the younger brother or another recruit playing for the same coach you might find yourself walking into closed doors.

Maybe Dunn would be well advised to try to talk to one of the six 4-stars from the list of Meyer RB recruits upthread? find out if they heard the same story and how it worked out when they got to UF?

Chartie Wies short term stays:  ND, Kansas (NFL), UF and Kansas(CFB).

Urban Myer  short term stays:  Ohio, Utah, UF (leaves program in shambles), ESPN and Ohio.

Both of these quality coaches seem to move around a lot.  Will they remain at their respective programs and develop continuity?  Or will they  pack up and leave  the program in 2-4 years?  In business,  those who have moved around, continue to move around.  Each recruit should consider this possibility before committing.

On the other hand, Brady Hoke coached at Ball State for 6 years, before upgrading to San Diego State, which was informed from the start that he would take the Michigan job, if and when offered.  Brady Hoke will be here for a very long time.

Just a thought.

To expound a little... Meyer apparently told Dunn that he "always wanted big backs, but never had them". (Not sure why he never recruited them?) Also, Dunn said they discussed the offense that Meyer wants to run. Dunn said he is excited to meet face-to-face with Meyer, and "feels good about things." One positive: Dunn stated that the UM coaches are "cool" and he really likes them and it is going to be a tough decision to make, but he is still committed to OSU.

Going through link after link, I read it on the Twitter account for Ari Wasserman from Buckeye Sports Bulletin. He has successive entries about how the Meyer/Dunn conversation went, all in quotes, as if Dunn had said those things himself somewhere. I have no familiarity with this guy, just was doing some research after I had heard Meyer had contacted Dunn. Very possible Mr. Wasserman's credibility is dung-worthy, but he seemed to be in contact with eleven warriors and some other guy from a TV station that says "Book it!" re: Dunn staying with Ohio.

Everyone seems so sure that we're going to migrate to a pro-style passing offense after this year where the RB handles the bulk of the carries. But is there a chance Borges falls in love with running QB's after this year and starts recruting Russel Wilson/RGIII types going forward?
