Why would they not play him ? It's becoming abundantly clear there was nothing shady in his recruitment. He turned down money from multiple schools to play for Izzo and continue the Flint pipeline. Timing matters , and the $400 allegeded to his Mom came 6 months after he signed with MSU. He also turned down millions to come back for his sophomore year, despite his mom wanting him to go pro so she could get the financial stability from his success. As for vacated wins, you do realize Michigan still carries the banner for the largest pay for play scandal in college basketball history ?

Absolutely, and like most Spartans fans I want anyone involved to be identified and brought to justice. Unfortunately for you, Izzo and Dantonio are above board and the investigation will ultimately prove that. If not, they need to be fired and face consequences as well.

Lol, you and most Spartans don’t want anyone involved to be brought to justice, you want anyone involved to be brought to justice as long as it is people who aren’t winning you sports games. MSU is trash, Dantonio is trash, Izzo is a dirty cheating trash human, and you can fuck off back to RCMB where they can’t stop arguing about whether or not Bridges parents were even at that lunch meeting because $70 isn’t enough money for 3 people at that nice of a restaurant. Also, you suck and should feel bad for being an impotent gutter slut

It must suck looking up to MSU in football and basketball for over a decade. Let's hope for another banner year for Harbaugh, maybe reach for a 3rd place finish in the division this year ? What happened to him running college football? Have the goal posts moved again ? After the loss this upcoming year, you will be 3-9 against Dantonio. Cheers.

you go first big fella, tell us which one turns your stomach.   then see if you notice any actual institutitional outrage and merciless purging....or is it circle the wagons and deny.

MSU = Molester State University.  own it.  love it.  congrats.  keep posting here.  its probably a nice distraction from sex offender classes.

oh and while its good you guys have had a slight run in football these last few years, remember the series is far distancing your ability to catch up in your lifetime.  meanwhile, academically, your school is one of the nicer community colleges one could find, excepting of course the rape culture.  again, congrats.

and lets not forget the MSU rape culture with their athletes. so yeah, deflect, don't answer, that's great.  nice school.  really.

what did you get you AA in, hospitality?  that seems to be big down there in EL.

You don't make a whole lot of sesne but I'll try to respond. I have many friends that are UM grads and I've hired a few UM grads. They don't talk or act remotely similar to the "fans" from the internet. They understand a predator (albeit UM grad) did horrendous things for many years and fooled many in the process. They hope , as do I, that anyone found with direct knowledge of the events that did anything to prevent Nassar from being exposed are brought to justice. This goes way beyond sports allegence and is appalling to all of us. This has nothing to do with MSU football or basketball. If facts are presented that link the two, I'll stop defending them. I guarantee you I'm as informed as anyone on this board about the facts , and the facts don't support a "culture of rape" at the University. That is a narrative that the sports fandom hope exist, it's far from a fact.

trolling nonsense.  look, there are a bunch of ohio fans who post here and are pretty cool about it.  they are welcome here.  why don't you take the earlier suggestion and get yourself some type of msu logo for an avatar and post like a real person, not a troll.  you'd almost certainly be welcomed.  be honest, you have to expend a lot of effort trying to be a horse's behind in your posting.  relax and be normal.

as an aside, i'd be surprised if you'd read as many of the police reports and other internal documents that i have on the issue of your rape culture.  if you had, you would be concerned about it - at least to the point that you'd think twice about sending a daughter to your school.

Yes the trolling will go away as well. I originally felt compelled to create this schtick because of the UM trolls on the MSU board doing the same thing. It has ran it's course and I'm fine dropping it. Civil discussions are a much better use of time.

FWIW, some of the non-michigan posters you see around here are 'rational buckeye' and 'buckeye jon ross', along with 'nittany fan'.   they are almost always gracious with their posting and what makes their posts particularly valuable is that they know their teams, their stats, their history well, as i assume you do for msu.  so when topics come up that cross over into their team they usually have information and insight that is helpful and appreciated in the discussion.

there is an old saying i am very fond of:  'its not necessarily what you say, but how you say it'.  i will look forward to the non-trolling version of bubba adding to our discussions.

The only way to fix this mess is to allow players to go to the NBA directly out of high school of they are good enough. Leave the NCAA for kids who want an education or who need more experience before trying their hand at the league. I’ve always thought the “one and domes” were detrimental to the college game.

At this point it does not matter if he plays or not.  When the truth eventually comes out probably 5 years from now, they will have to forfeit all their wins anyways.  What is a couple more vacated wins in the grand scheme of things.

The NCAA isn't going to do anything anytime soon because they know until the FBI investigations and court cases play out, there's a strong chance an entity with subpoena power that can actually conduct a real investigation will make them look silly. What happens if they clear a guy and it ends up theres proof he was dirty, or they punish a guy based on leaked emails from dawkins and it turns out Dawkins was a liar and submitting bs expenses to his boss? At the end of the day the NCAA doesn't have the means to conduct a real investigation and they know it, so they're waiting for the FBI investigation to feed them info. Once again we'll watch them vacating wins 3 years from now to punish guys who are 2 years into NBA contracts. Whoopty fucking dooo.

Emmert and the NCAA have said it's up to the schools to determine whether not to play guys who have been implicated. They have not even STARTED any investigations yet because they don't have subpoena power and are a joke of an organization who ultimately will be hurt by this FBI investigation. They certainly dont want top players missing the tourney because of the fact that nobody respects their rules. Of course the schools are going to play dumb until there is a smoking gun, which aside from the Miller wire tap there has not been one yet.

Nothing will happen to MSU, even years from now. NCAA won’t investigate. Just have to hope MSU doesn’t win it all this year, just have a bad feeling that they will.

Can you please change the subject line of the thread to "MSU gambles, plays Miles Bridges in face of potential season annulement'?

That would be more accurate.

It will be that much sweeter in a couple years when Izzo is retired, their team is under .500 and they have to pull down and put the 2018 Big Ten Champs banner in storage because of the vacated season. Louisville says hi!

I don’t think the NCAA can force any coach or player into not coaching/playing because the reporting on this investigation only amounts to hearsay right now. FBI is just a collector of evidence. They do not decide when a person is indicted or when it’s made public. That’s all up to main justice and the AUSA on the case. But when DOJ reports the indictment of coaches and or players, then the NCAA can and will will take action.

At this point, without court documents, the NCAA has to leave it up to the school to decide what’s in their best interest. Otherwise if said player or coach is never charged or incriminated, the NCAA could be sued by the college.

Doesn’t surprise me MSU is looking the other way. At this point, it’s up to them to sit Bridges and Izzo. And we know from Nasser, that will never happen at that “distinguished” University. Just disgusting.
