Mike Martin Facebook Q&A

Mike Martin is doing a Q&A tomorrow on facebook for American Muscle.  Its at 12pm ET/11am CT.  Link is here.  

If you haven't checked out the show yet, its on Discovery at 9/8c.  Looks like there is a story on Carson Butler this week too.  Hopefully no engineers were harmed in the making of his segments.

This is likely not comprehensive, of course, but Discovery has some of the future episodes and some of the players they will highlight here - (LINK)

 According to that, tomorrow's episode will follow some of the work that Barwis did with the Lions' own Ndamukong Suh. The episodes after that, if the site is correct, will feature the likes of Nick Swisher and Shawne Merriman (in addition to others, I assume).

Some of you guys like to talk about msu players on steroids but mike Martin is an obvious Uofm player who was on something.

but did you sell them to him and watch him take them? I ask because I knew guys using them and everyone knew for a fact that they were......but they weren't. Other guys you'd never suspect were on them for a fact. So, not doubting you as going to UM doesn't equal sainthood but unless you sold and/or saw, I have to call it a "definitely not factual" situation. Maybe probable? I don't know. My best friend just had the same body frame as MM (2x state wrestling champ at hw and all) and never took them. Just a big, stout, athletic guy. They literally look alike! ha.

To get specific. No I can not provide proof or absolutely know for a fact. I did not attend CC nor did I ever know Martin personally, I was good friends with someone who was on the football team and he told me they took steroids together. This is a person I know very well and would be shocked if he lied. My friend said Martin was a great guy and a awesome teammate. You guys would be shocked how many Uofm and college football players in general have at least done a cycle of steroids. I would estimate at least 30% have tried peds. It seems as if football is not interested in addressing steroids, the NFL is full of ped users and very litttle is done about it. Goodell is to worried about someone smoking a joint on their free time to actually concern himself with a major problem.

You're making a public accusation about Martin's integrity based on 100% hearsay, because you like the source?  You're more comfortable on thin ice than I am.  I like my ice to be at least an inch thick if I'm out there alone.

You realize that even good friends say b.s. sometimes to impress others, right?  I'm not saying any player - including Martin - did or did not do steroids.  But this is hardly a Tony Mandarich situation where it is "obvious" (as you state in your first comment) that Martin was "on something".

him his direct reply to the Titans at the combine when asked how our defense jumped 100 spots in one year with basically the same players and a new staff? I can paraphrase him saying something to the tune of "I liked my old coaches but they had us literally playing backyard football on defense. Telling us to make plays, etc. No real technical coaching...."
