Why do they do that? You really think such false precision is meaningful in some way. How about advertising that a game starts at a time that ends with either a 0 or a 5?

While this is surely twitter behavior and not a serious bet, the back and forth with Shea Patterson and Johnny Manziel about the upcoming game and a signed jersey is... maybe not a great idea while we are waiting for the NCAA to rule him eligible?

A&M just carved up the #2 seed in our region. The defending national champions no less. UNC had a somewhat up and down year but they were still a great team all the same.

Michigan's defense is going to have arguably its toughest game yet against A&M. There's some big boys lining up on the other side of that court.

but do they ask the higher seeded team which time slot they want (to play first or second) or is it completely network dictated?

It is only a dumb question if you believe that the NCAA tournament exists for any reason but the transfer of revenue from advertisers, through television, to the NCAA. :)

Teams play when they're told to play.  They have no say.

Weather in LA this week is going to be unusually rainy Tues-Thurs with highs in the low 60's, so it should feel like springtime in Michigan. I know--I know: they play the games inside. But it won't be ideal tourist/sightseeing weather until Friday (/knocks on wood), so just keep them in the gym and focused on the task at hand.

Losing sleep again this week. 12:37am (Friday) start for me in Europe. If it's anything like the Houston game, it won't finish until after 3am... but hey, this happens only once a year and losing sleep for a good cause!

With traffic and people having to work, expect a scattered crowd in the building for a good chunk of this game. Maybe that will help the team play looser.

So when we are on the central time zone, we tip off at 10ET. But now that we are out in LA, we tip at 7:30ET. NCAA needs to fix this scheduling shit

And of course I'd be on a flight that leaves at 8:45pm so I probably won't get to see the end of the game unless Southwest suddenly decided to start carrying TBS.

I know I'll get CBS on the flight so I'll at least get to see the score and occasional mid-game highlight during a timeout, but with that I might as well watch the ESPN Gamecast....

To anyone who flies Southwest regularly, do you know if they've started carrying TBS? I haven't flown them in quite some time and the last I recall is that they don't carry it.

NCAA.com has a start time of 6:10 PM ET for one game Saturday and 8:50 PM ET for the other.  The West game is likely to be the later of the two, but there are no guarantees.  They'll make the announcement after Thursday's second games wrap up.

The Sunday games are earlier -- 2:20 and 5:05.
