GO BLUE

Glad to have Sparty and tOSU watching us from the sidelines. Love this team. GO BLUE!

They play two bigs. Could be tough. Or could be a lot of fun if we rain 3 balls.
March 18th, 2018 at 11:29 PM ^
has to hit from the outside
March 19th, 2018 at 12:13 AM ^
Drag those bigs out of their comfort zone.
Those bigs can play perimeter defense.
And that's fine, as long as they can't do that at the same time as defending the post.

Can hardly wait for this sweet 16!
March 18th, 2018 at 11:27 PM ^
Why do they do that? You really think such false precision is meaningful in some way. How about advertising that a game starts at a time that ends with either a 0 or a 5?
March 18th, 2018 at 11:28 PM ^
What is time?
March 18th, 2018 at 11:55 PM ^
Is a flat circle
March 18th, 2018 at 11:31 PM ^
Why does a 0 or 5 have any more meaning to you than a 7?
March 19th, 2018 at 12:08 AM ^
Those are the large hashmarks on my clock, so somebody somewhere finds them more significant.
March 18th, 2018 at 11:28 PM ^
Wow, that's really early for us. Not used to it.
Will they serve breakfast?
March 18th, 2018 at 11:29 PM ^
Michigan has played worse when it's a late game. it's been for a few years like that. Earlier time is better for us to perform well.
March 18th, 2018 at 11:32 PM ^
437 local time, hopefully they will have a nice home court advantage to start. Zags fans hopefully will roll in late.

While this is surely twitter behavior and not a serious bet, the back and forth with Shea Patterson and Johnny Manziel about the upcoming game and a signed jersey is... maybe not a great idea while we are waiting for the NCAA to rule him eligible?
March 19th, 2018 at 12:06 AM ^
The post about him buying a new Dodge Ram doesn't look so hot either.

TAMU - Up and down team
They are way up right now; we will need to play our best. We can do this.

Days is enough time to cool them off and warm us up.

"Michigan's the top-ranked remaining defensive team in the tournament"
A&M just carved up the #2 seed in our region. The defending national champions no less. UNC had a somewhat up and down year but they were still a great team all the same.
Michigan's defense is going to have arguably its toughest game yet against A&M. There's some big boys lining up on the other side of that court.
I’m already nervous.
March 18th, 2018 at 11:35 PM ^
but do they ask the higher seeded team which time slot they want (to play first or second) or is it completely network dictated?
March 19th, 2018 at 10:51 AM ^
It is only a dumb question if you believe that the NCAA tournament exists for any reason but the transfer of revenue from advertisers, through television, to the NCAA. :)
Teams play when they're told to play. They have no say.
March 18th, 2018 at 11:43 PM ^
Woo hoo!
March 18th, 2018 at 11:47 PM ^
now the wife will be able to stay up to watch
March 19th, 2018 at 12:10 AM ^
Ugh 437 is pretty early. Was hoping for the 2nd game at staples. It'll do though.
March 19th, 2018 at 12:43 AM ^
definitely won't be able to go now. oh well. i think the earlier start time will help the team's energy level.
March 19th, 2018 at 12:47 AM ^
Weather in LA this week is going to be unusually rainy Tues-Thurs with highs in the low 60's, so it should feel like springtime in Michigan. I know--I know: they play the games inside. But it won't be ideal tourist/sightseeing weather until Friday (/knocks on wood), so just keep them in the gym and focused on the task at hand.
March 19th, 2018 at 10:07 AM ^
After a very, very warm November-January here, it's been cool for a prolonged period in LA. March has been very rainy, which is good, but it's definitely not as good of tourist weather as it is 90% of the time.
Losing sleep again this week. 12:37am (Friday) start for me in Europe. If it's anything like the Houston game, it won't finish until after 3am... but hey, this happens only once a year and losing sleep for a good cause!
With traffic and people having to work, expect a scattered crowd in the building for a good chunk of this game. Maybe that will help the team play looser.
So when we are on the central time zone, we tip off at 10ET. But now that we are out in LA, we tip at 7:30ET. NCAA needs to fix this scheduling shit
2 regionals / day. 2 games at each regional. One starts in the 7 EDT hour and the other in the 9 pm hour.
And of course I'd be on a flight that leaves at 8:45pm so I probably won't get to see the end of the game unless Southwest suddenly decided to start carrying TBS.
I know I'll get CBS on the flight so I'll at least get to see the score and occasional mid-game highlight during a timeout, but with that I might as well watch the ESPN Gamecast....
To anyone who flies Southwest regularly, do you know if they've started carrying TBS? I haven't flown them in quite some time and the last I recall is that they don't carry it.
Anyone have any idea what time the Saturday 8 games are usually at/around?
March 19th, 2018 at 11:00 AM ^
NCAA.com has a start time of 6:10 PM ET for one game Saturday and 8:50 PM ET for the other. The West game is likely to be the later of the two, but there are no guarantees. They'll make the announcement after Thursday's second games wrap up.
The Sunday games are earlier -- 2:20 and 5:05.
