They're both good plays.
If you kick onside and don't get you've only given up about 10-15 yards of field position. I'd mix it up between the two but I'd never just kick deep.

Fun facts. Every pass thrown in the 2nd quarter was an INT. Denard's 4 INTs have come on the last 4 passes in a row. Not sure if either has been done in history.
