Michigan vs. MSU (2nd Half thread)

UMProud is no longer allowed to make Michigan open threads. His heart's in the right place but this is the 5th time I've had to save him. Go Blue! BEAT MSU!

Worst half of Harbaugh football since 2015 OSU. Before that might be strecthing into the Hoke years.

How that f'ing program gets up for this game every year while we come out timid and afraid is beyond me. WTF did we do during the bye week

If you’re going to demote him just fire him outright. It’s not like the play calling has been bad and the OL has been good. Both things he’s in charge of are the worst part of the team.

Fire fucking Pep Hamilton too. Whatever influence he’s brought to the offense has been god awful. Why we thought bringing in an offensive mind from the Browns was a good idea, I’ll never know.

true but theyre playing better across the board.  245 lb walkon DEs dusting the OL for quick pressures really hurts - but so does evans blowing another fairly standard pass pro.  its the same stuff with state blitzing LBs to generate pressure, m needs to attack it quickly and confidently.  solid rhythm to start with some nice runs early but they look disjointed since.

also getting outcoached.  state attacking all 4 LBs and also taking advantage of winovichs aggressiveness - fix that and theyre ok.  mccray still a weakness but thats him.  love most everything about browns D but def not mccray on perimeter covering #1-2 WR (or dalvin cook).  state looks more aggressive and faster which shouldnt be the case - they can flip it 2nd half but m has to step on gas and rip the game away.

no turnovers and its a different story.  clean things up, play smart, fast and tough and see what happens

Maybe. I use to think that, but as bad as the OL is I’m not sure if the offense can take a step forward to be championship caliber. They remind me A LOT of Florida State. Their OL killed them last year, they returned a lot of talent this season, and the OL stayed bad and now they are 1-3.

For all the Speight sucks folks, it is clear that the o line can't protect shit. It's like I said, you could have Jesus as our QB and nothing will happen.

made no sense. we were losing, yes, but why get desparate all of a sudden??? stay with what worked. this was vintage borgesian playcalling. just overthinking it.

combined with zero improvement from the OL and you get trouble.

combined with undisciplined defense and sparty making big plays, you get this trainwreck.
