Not sure how it's going to work with no App, but online watchers, great wifi speed people might be on.  Let's go for 4!

Winning road games in the B1G is tough.  Winning in Breslin in tough.  Winning against the #9 team, on the road, in Breslin, is really tough.  (wish we would have given it a better effort, but my head is held high)

Here are some teams from last year who made the Sweet 16:

  1. Marquette - 20-14
  2. Richmond - 27-7 (A10 conference, though)
  3. VCU - 23-11
  4. FSU - 21-10

All of those teams had flaws at least as bad as UM's lack of size, yet all found a way to get hot for at least one weekend and beat a couple of teams.  So no, I'm not going to freak out about a tough loss against the #9 team in the country, on the road, in the Big 10.  This team isn't a FF squad, but this was a bad game, not some harbinger of a lost season.

This game was painful to watch. THJ is absolutely awful and forces so many unnecessary shots it is unreal. It is hard to bench him though just because we have no one else to step in. He is terrible on defense as well. Does anyone else seem him as being kind of like a cancer to this team? I honestly think Belien needs to not start him against Nebraska just to let him know that he isn't invincible and is capable of losing his starting spot. I don't care if he comes in right after the first T.V. timeout. I just think he needs a wake up call because he just seems like he only cares about getting points and when he doesn't get his touches/points he just loses all focus in the game. I am just frustrated watching this team right now. I figured we would lose to state but didn't think we would play this poorly.  I think the only players that ever play with any heart on this team are Burke, Novack, Morgan, and Stu and I don't even think Morgan and Stu are any good lol....It is going to be sad when Novack leaves because this team lacks any leadership outside of him. I think Burke will eventually take this roll but it is so hard for a young guy to be a leader. Just hope we can finish strong and make it into the tourney and hopefully make a sweet 16.

to MSU.  They had a better game-plan and executed much better than us today.  Greene was playing on half a leg and Appling seemed to have his head on straight after many games of playing poorly.

Congrats Sparty, Congrats.  Today is your turn in the sun.  Enjoy it while it lasts.  You certainly deserve all the credit and praise today.

Picked a bad time to have the worst game of his career. Don't know what has happened to his shot but the dude can't hit *anything*. Confidence? Technique? Focus? I dunno, I hope he can power through whatever the problem is in time for the tourney. Yeesh

THJ is now 7 for 40 from deep in his last 7 games. I don't know what to do about it though because I don't want Akunne out on the court...

Also, how do people feel about J Mo getting more touches? I feel like he is actually a decent post player offensively, but I don't think he gets the ball down there enough. Also, as some of you may have seen me post before, I want Jon back more and more every game, anybody know his status? I mean, I realize he is dressing and traveling now, but whats the plan for the future? It's a shame he can't redshirt, he only played in 4 games that meant anything at all.
