I know we are all getting tired of reading new posts about how many wins we are going to have, whether Devin is going to redshirt, etc. so I am posting this video from www.thewolverineblog.com
It's a compilation of Michigan running back highlights from Jamie Morris to Mike Hart. I have to admit I got chills a few times.

Also - Tyrone Wheatley was a good running back.

Tyrone Wheatley was an absolute burner for his size. Too young to watch him, but he lookes like a speedy Brandon Minor in that video. Based on the video he looked like a heisman-worthy back. Great video, I really needed that.

The crazy thing is, Wheatley was a burner for ANY size.
As a high school senior, he ran 4 events at the Track state finals, and won all 4. He was the only guy from his team to qualify for the state meet and his team was the state champion.

back I have ever seen at Michigan. He hit holes fast and he turned on the jets after the line of scrimmage and was gone. We could use a big fast back like that. Heck, anybody could use a back like that. Those videos remind me of the good old days of power football and just knowing that the line would blow the defnse back an the RB always was one step away from taking it to the house.
Thanks to that video, the winter just got longer. Is it August yet?

This guy is a treasure. In these dark days of Winter his labor of love that he shares with all of us is a mighty blessing; and it can also become an addiction. I can't tell you how may times I have watched "Tim Biakabutuka against Ohio State 1995", and each time he rips through their line it is new again; "He doesn't want to go down!"
Looking forward to Running Backs Vol. 2, and to the new feature from last year wherein he posts the videos of all of our victories right after they occur. He will be a busy man this Fall.

Chris Perry will always be a special player to me because of how tough he was. He battled injuries during his entire Senior year and the 51 carries against MSU in a close game was magnificent. I will never forget that.

1. When I watch Jamie Morris, all I hear in my head is Bob Ufer.
2 I'd forgotten that Biakabatuka was shifty as hell.
3. Wheatley ran like he was on fire and the endzone was Lake Huron.
More than anything though, the blocking we had on some of those runs was unreal.

Probably the best highlight video I've ever seen! My two favorite RB's had to be Ty Wheatley and Chris Perry. Wheatley was just a beast and Chris Perry would just wear down a defense. They would just keep feeding him the ball and it seemed like he just got stronger as the game went on. Great post!

Hopefully WH adds specific videos for each RB in the future because this video was pretty nice, but only three clips from each RB kind of leaves you unsatisfied.
I think he might've already made one for Hart, but I can't remember (might've been someone else, since I'm sure there are plenty of Hart vids on Youtube and relatively few Tony Boles videos).

Is it just me, or does Tony Boles look like he is in fantastic shape? The way he pulls that ball in one arm and runs like a marathon runner, like he could run that fast ALL DAY LONG.

Watch the first run on the Leroy Hoard clip...the draw play against OSU. The guy he runs through like he's not even there at the goalline is none other than Mr. Bo Pelini.

Those were the days, where winning seem to come easy and bowl games were nothing but formality.....Times sure have changed.
