Michigan on TV: Inside Michigan Reminder, and "The Brady 6"

Submitted by M-Wolverine on

First a quick reminder, set your DVR, Inside Michigan Football, Spring Edition, starts up tomorrow on FSD, at 6:30, and for those out of area, it's on BTN for the first time on noon on Saturday. (Though by then most of it will be online, and probably on this site via MGoBlue).

And I can't find any info online about it yet, so no link, but my Comcast DVR listings has this for 4/12 a 8 pm on ESPN: The Brady 6. The program description-

A look at Tom Brady's late selection in the 2000 NFL Draft and the 6 quarterbacks taken before him. Also: Brady's struggles to get the starting nod while at Michigan.

I don't know if it's a new "from the makers of" 30 for 30, or just one of ESPN's NFL draft overload (it looks like they have a nightly program for the draft starting that week...two weeks before the draft even happens).  But obviously interesting either way. And another fortuitously timed program, showcasing Brady just as Michigan is looking to get back to some more pro-style quarterbacks, much like the Fab Five reminding people Michigan Basketball used to be good, just as we're making a run in the Tourney.

So, set the DVR's, tune in, and get your Michigan Football fix....in April, BEFORE the Spring Game even happens.

Even though it would have been impossible to predict Brady's stellar pro potential, he was clearly a better prospect than most or all QB's picked ahead of him just based on his performance at Michigan.  I still remember his incredible play directing a comeback bowl win over Bama.  A fine example of totally incompetent pro scouting.
