Michigan Spring game will not be aired live on TV
And neither will Ohio State's. Apparently, neither program would agree to move its air time, so BTN decided neither will air live.

Game kicks off 12:30 on April 13th. Will be aired on BTN at 9:00 P.M.
The Wolverines’ spring game is slated to kick off at 12:30 p.m. on April 13, while the Buckeyes' game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start. The Big Ten Networked announced Thursday that neither program agreed to move its game, so neither will be aired live.
Beat Ohio.
Live would be nice, but at least its stil on TV. Now you'll know what to watch for when its on.
Damn you Dave Brandon!
I still don't trust Brandon as far as I can throw the Big House scoreboard, but I applaud him for putting the live fan experience over BTN.
plus....we don't do anything bc OSU. I wouldn't defer our choice of spring game time, nor anything for that matter, to OSU
oh well.. not like they won't replay it 15 times
For ohio.
I wish ESPN would pick up a big ten spring game. They always show SEC and the Oregon Srpring game.
They don't call it ESecPN for nothing.
/O$U'd
That was probably the most obnoxious use of abbrevations that I've ever seen in a single post...
I'm sure it was, since that was the intention. It was jocular and I thought the /O$U'd made that point obvious. I'll make sure to implement the /s next time in order to not offend you board purists.
lol funny how anyone who has a comment ragged on blames it on the board's "purists". He wasn't offended; he was pointing out how hilariously dumb it was
It's fine, ESPN has to show SEC spring games on TV. It isn't their fault that they can't read about it in Sports Illustrated, it's the piss-poor education.

Don't worry I have a photographic memory and will be drawing an animated replay of the entire game after.
Will there be a mgoblue.com live stream?
but I don't think so. I believe BTN owns the rights and MgoBlue uses BTN2Go to stream the game.
So, basically, we don't get to watch monotonous drills and/or a scrimmage where no one does anything of particular interest live?
They might actually be doing us a favor. More time in the springtime sunshine for everyone!
Not like you'll miss anything important a few hours later. And then one can go and come back home and watch it.
I'm OK with this good, old-fashioned stubborness.
Won't matter since I'm going, rain or shine.
That's right. Ditto.
Wait, you're going? Then I guess there's no need to televise it at all.
I shall broadcast it live via my Droid by duct taping it to my head (with Michigan duct tape). Ustream of course.
WE DO NOT NEGOTIATE WITH TERRORISTS!!!!
I went to every spring game from 1998 to 2007 and they got more and more boring every year. They stopped being actual games under Lloyd. Plus the weather was always cold, dark and miserable.
Even once they started airing on TV, I don't think I ever watched one all the way through. Players are rarely healthy enough to play and this place almost had a meltdown 2 years ago after how bad the players looked, only to go on and have an 11-2 season.
And so the season begins.
I just hope no one posts the score and ruins it for everyone.
So what else could possibly be in front of the two most popular teams in the conference playing their most popular sports? It's not live basketball, so I'm at a loss.
Simple. Beach volleyball. Indiana v. Penn State.

we used to say that about the revolution
What times were the Michigan and OSU games last year? I'm surprised that they wouldn't have conflicted in previous years.
My understanding is that Meyer moved OSU spring practice so that it would line up better with the "live" spring recruiting period.
Normally, Ohio plays their game later in the spring than than we do.
haha fuck the big ten network.
We are big ten network.
I bet they saw a drop in attendance once it was broadcasted. They've had an advertiser the past few years, and I don't think the advertiser get's mentioned as the official sponsor of the game on the TV broadcast. No TV=higher attendance=more people see advertiser name logo all over Michigan Stadium. Also, if they charge a fee for entry, more money for whatever charity they decide on. MDen and Concessions probably benefit as well. I wonder if it will be on WWJ950 or live streamed on MGoBlue.com?
But every year WTKA covers the whole thing live, including stuff like the Alumni flag football game, with guests.
Oh no!!!!!!!!!!
