It's my fault guys, whenever I'm checking out the MNF game Michigan seems to play well, but when I swing by to check the game Michigan misses a shot or turns the ball over ¬¬

I don't think we played all that well, and are still up 6. I could see us stretching the lead out, especially with their depth, or rather lack there of, coming into play.

And Walton barely played.

Levert attacks, draws contact, hits the FTs, and we're up 33-27 at halftime. Gotta tighten up that transition D in 2H. Walton coming back will help the offense a ton.

General observation - so much enthusiasm and players rushing to congratulate and pick up each other.  Very different than our other major revenue sport - sigh.

They both dont care about their hair during a game in a Zach Novak kind of way.

I dont see his game much like Laimbeer other than inside and being white.  Laimbeer had pretty impressive 3 pt range especially for a center back in that era.  Doyle is all 6 feet and in and has some nice baby hooks and such.

Ricky Doyle is going to be pretty good.

He needs two things though:

1) Shed his bad weight and build up some bulk.  This will come with time

2) Dude needs a headband.  He is sweating hard out there!

Biggest takeaway is that Doyle possession where he hard hedged and got back repeatedly, then forced a tough running two that we rebounded.  Because that's our biggest need going forward.  I think things will slow down for Chatman at some point so I'm not super worried about that, you can see he's a talented dude.  But we need a defensive presence at center.

Doyle did look a little gassed after those 4/5 hard minutes though.  Conditioning might be a worry with him?  But he was sick/injured recently I think.

If we clean up some of the little things, there's no reason we can't put away an athletic and aggressive but not so polished Oregon team.  A lot of young guys played in the first half, and the rest will help tomorrow, but the rotation might have to be tightened up a bit in the second.

Hopefully Walton can stay out of foul trouble and we can be efficient enough offensively that Oregon won't be able to keep pace.

As a side note to the actual game, did anyone else notice (I did just as they went to halftime) that it seems like Oregon has their actual band there while the Michigan fight song was played by what sounded and appeared to be a group of local high school band members in maize shirts that struggled through "The Victors?"

I'll take that half considering the circumstances of not having Walton because of foul trouble and LeVert not having another good shooting night. Irvin looks much quicker when going to the bucket as compared to last yaer and Doyle provided great defense that last 6 minutes.

If they play that Mac vs tablet commercial one more time I may break something. It's the acapella version of stupidity
